Forgive and Forget.
Holly's POV
Austin drove us back towards his, and in a way, I'm glad we were silent. Since I stormed away from Vic that night, everything had gone downhill, and there was pretty much never a silent moment, until now. It was peaceful, and that was just what I needed.
I was feeling absolutely fine until Austin pulled up outside his place. I could see Kellin's car as well as Vic's, which must have meant that at least those two were here, and I can't imagine Tony not being sat inside; he was the one who spotted me after all. "Hey? Don't panic. Everything will work out, okay?" Austin assured me, clearly picking up on my nerves. I gave him a small nod before turning my attention back towards the building. "You ready for this?" I heard from behind me. "As ready as I'll ever be" I sighed back. I felt a hand on my shoulder before the weight in the vehicle shifted. Time to face the guys I guess.
Vic's POV
Mike was sat beside me, constantly assuring me that she was okay, that we would be okay, but I still couldn't help but feel like I had screwed things up by lying to her. Fuck! The others were talking amongst themselves, creating background noise that was oddly soothing.
The sound of a key in the door grabbed my attention instantly, causing me to look straight towards the entrance, knowing that it could only be Austin now, and hopefully Holly too. The guys all quietened down and glanced at either myself or the door. It swung open slowly to reveal Austin, and stood behind was the girl I loved; and the girl I hurt. "Holly!" Jaime called, rushing over, quickly followed by Tony and Kellin. I was frozen; she was actually here, alive! I was so happy, but felt so guilty at the same time. As they greeted her, her eyes were locked to mine, a look of sorrow washing them. I walked really slowly over to her, scared as to how she would react, until we were about an inch apart. Instinctively, I pulled her into my arms, although she hesitated slightly before hugging me back. Can't really say I blamed her. "We need to talk" I whispered so that only she could hear, Austin conversing in the background. She nodded the best she could whilst pressed up against my chest, but made no effort to move. To be honest, I didn't want her to move; I had missed her so much, and I just wanted to keep her in my arms for as long as possible. This was cut short however by Austin pulling the two of us aside and towards a seperate, secluded room. "You two need to talk and I assume that would be best without everyone around, so I'll go wait out there with them, you two stay here and sort this out, got it?" he spoke quickly. We nodded in unison, watching silently as he left us together.
"I missed you" I muttered after a few minutes of silence. "And I you Vic. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-" I cut off her words by pulling her to me once more. "Don't. It was my fault. I didn't mean anything I said, okay? I was just... I don't know. You were asking questions and I couldn't bare to answer them. If I knew you would have left... gone to them, then I... Fuck" I sighed, exasperated by my actions. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to know, it doesn't matter though, not anymore anyway" she replied softly. "No, you know what, the whole reason you left was my fault, I think you at least deserve an explanation. I can't imagine what you've been through..." How was I meant to explain this without sounding... Childish? Idiotic? I had no idea, but anything was better than nothing. I pulled her towards Austin's bed and sat down, pulling her with me so she was sat beside me, her legs draping over mine. "I was scared... scared of losing you. I hadn't let you out of my sight since, well, practically since the day I met you. I didn't want you to get hurt, and then that one day you went out on your own, we almost lost you, it just made me more protective. Then tour came, and I was scared that if I didn't let you have some freedom then... you might leave. I couldn't risk that. But the thing I was trying to prevent happened anyway, and in all honesty, I've been feeling like shit since tour started because I missed your company, so fucking much. Holly, I regret my actions, honestly, I have missed you. I've been worried sick, we all have. I'm really sorry for tour, for after tour, I just... I hope you can forgive me. I love you Holly, more than anything." I was shocked by my own words, at how genuine they were, but it was the truth. "That's why you were distancing yourself- acting cold to everyone?" she questioned, and that's when my nerves kicked into overdrive. I nodded meekly as a response. "Ask Jenna, I was talking to her about it." Holly moved away from me slightly to look up at my face. "You're an idiot, you know that?" she replied, a hint of humour in her voice. "Yeah, I know." She relaxed into me again before I spoke again. "You haven't answered me, do you forgive me?" My mind went crazy, hoping for a specific answer. "Of course Vic. I'm shocked that you thought I would leave, but I forgive you; it was partly my fault anyway, and don't you dare try to deny it. I love you Vic. You may be an idiot, but you're my idiot." I somehow tightened my grip around her, pulling her as close to me as possible. "Thank you. I love you. So. Fucking. Much" I whispered into her hair. "I love you too Vic" she replied. I pulled myself away from her body and placed a hand on her chin, bringing her face towards mine. I placed my lips on hers in a swift motion, feeling a hell of a lot better with the contact between us. She didn't hesitate, and that relieved me; it proved that there was still hope for us yet.
