I Pretended Everything Was Fine.
Tony's POV
Surprisingly the drive back didn't take too long and the silence was a comfortable one, for me at least. Jaime parked the car outside Vic's place and we walked in all in one big group. "So does someone want to explain?" Mike asked as we all sat down. "I guess I should tell you all. You see, my family well.. that day that Tony thought Vic left the mark on my face, it wasn't him, it was my dad. I've always been the victim to my dad, no one apart from Austin would look after me and the mark on my face isn't even the worst part. I've been ill because of him and he doesn't even care as you could probably tell by his behaviour in the cinema." Her words trailed off and she looked completely empty, like the slightest thing could break her. We all sat here speechless, not even I knew that, and I know one of her secrets that only Vic knows. Jaime stood up and walked over to Holly, pulling her into a hug. "We're here for you. You're a part of our little family now" he said, not giving her chance to even breathe. "Thank you" she managed to say, barely audible and coughing. "Sorry" he said releasing her. "I agree. She's with us now. Let's treat her like one of us" I said as I stood up and hugged her as well. "Agreed" Mike said, joining in which resulted in all of us hugging her, the five of us in the middle of Vic's lounge in a group hug.
Holly's POV
This is where I wanted to stay, forever with these guys that have treated me better the past few days than my own family has the past twenty one years. "So does anyone want to go out? We could go somewhere less conspicuous like the beach? Or we could have a barbecue? Invite some friends over, could be fun" Jaime shrugged with a smile on his face. "Barbecue sounds good" Vic said whilst looking at me with a look as if to say 'is that okay?' I nodded and smiled to which the guys started smiling and jumping around. "Mike and I will run to the store" Jaime smiled before running back out to the car. "I'll go call some people up" Tony said as he pulled out his phone, leaving just Vic and I. "I'm proud of you" he smiled before pulling me into yet another hug. "Thank you Vic. For everything, not just today. You've changed my life so much and if not for you I would still be stuck with them" I replied, smiling into his shoulder. "Don't mention it. I love you Holly, and you're safe now, I promise you" he said; I could feel his smile on my shoulder which was comforting. "I love you too Vic, and I don't know how I could ever repay you for everything" I replied. "Stay with me" he said, staring straight into my eyes. "Why wouldn't I?" I replied, giving him a confused look. "I don't know, I just always want to be with you. I've never felt this way and being around you just makes me feel happier" he replied. This was like one of those moments in movies where the guy nearly loses the girl. "I feel the same way. I love you Vic" I said, my gaze still locked onto his. "I love you too Holly" he replied, before pressing our lips together.
We were now stood in the garden by the barbecue that looked like it had never been used. The garden here was beautiful, there was decking that leads to a nice grass area and a pool opposite, a nice tree at the end of the garden that looked like it would be easy to climb, which was probably good news for Jaime. Speaking of Jaime, "We're back!" he yelled, running out to the garden. He obviously forgot about the sliding glass door because he ran straight into it, causing Vic and I to burst out laughing at his stupidity. He stood up holding his head, pouting in our direction but no matter what we couldn't stop laughing. He eventually opened it before stepping out and throwing some hotdog rolls in our direction, hitting Vic on the head. This made my laughing turn to crying, but it was just from laughing way too much. "You find this funny?" Vic asked sarcastically as he picked me up and began walking down the decking stairs. He walked over to the pool, with myself still in his arms, and held me above it. "Is it still funny?" he asked and I shook my head, biting my bottom lip to suppress my laughter. He raised his eyebrow before sighing playfully and placing me down on the concrete. "Thank you" I grinned like a child before going to skip away. Before I got anywhere he grabbed my hand and pulled me back, spinning me into his arms. "What are you doing" I laughed, which was soon stopped by him pressing his lips to mine, making the butterflies in my stomach go crazy.
Vic started pouring the coal into the barbecue whilst I sat with my feet in the pool. Jaime was running around chasing Tony and Mike was collecting the food from inside Vic's house. "So who did you invite?" I asked Tony as he sat next to me. "Just some people" he smiled whilst looking at his hands. "To you they might be just people, but you're forgetting, I was recently a fangirl, so if they're bands then I'm just going to be a planet of emotions, like seriously I won't be able to handle the feels" I laughed; since I had told them about my life, I felt a lot more comfortable around them, and I was glad with that fact. "Well you'd better handle them then" he laughed, so I just took his hat and jumped up, running away with it. "Give it back!" he yelled, chasing after me. "Jaime!" I yelled, throwing it in his direction. He caught it and stood still, staring at the object in his hands. "This is... wow... such a rare opportunity to be holding Tony's-" He was cut short by Tony hitting him round the head playfully as he snatched his hat back, shoving it back on his head. He shot me a playful glare before storming over to Vic.
People started arriving about an hour later which was when Vic started cooking the food. I was stood next to him, deciding that I felt more comfortable next to him rather than mingling with some of the bands. Not that many had shown up, Of Mice & Men, Sleeping with Sirens, All Time Low. I think it's better not having as much people though. I was watching Vic when all of a sudden a pair of arms snaked round my shoulders, scaring me slightly and causing me to fight against them. I got free and turned round to see Austin, and I instantly sighed with relief, throwing my arms round his waist. "Holly? What's happened" he asked, ripping me away from him, and I looked over to where Vic and Tony were. "Sorry, I invited him, I thought you might like him here" Tony said sympathetically. I nodded and smiled before looking up at Austin whose face was full of terror. "There was an incident with dad earlier, but it's nothing, it's been sorted, the guys stuck up for me" I said, shrugging like it was no big deal. "Wait, he actually approached you?" he said all too loudly, the anger evident in his voice. "Austin, it's sorted just calm down" I pleaded, and he looked at me sternly before nodding slowly, staring at the ground.
Vic's POV
You could see as Austin tried to calm down, I watched as his fists clenched and unclenched over and over again, but he was trying for his sisters sake. "Vic, did you see where Jesse went?" Kellin asked as he walked over to me. "Yeah he went to the toilet" I laughed. "Well he's been gone for ages" Kellin whined. "Well you're always free to go in my house Kellin, you should know that by now" I said, catching on to the worry in his voice. "Thanks" he said before running in. Austin had now calmed down and started talking to some of the bands that had shown up. It's amazing how many people can show up within a couple of hours. I pulled Holly closer to me as I started setting some of the food on the table by the barbecue. She smiled, looking into my eyes and I smiled back. Not realising that the people who had shown up were watching Holly and I, I moved forward, crashing my lips onto hers, and everyone thought that they would start cheering at us at the same time. I felt her smile before she buried her face in my neck, leaving me to awkwardly look at everyone; the bands and her brother. After they all finally stopped staring they dispersed and carried on with their drinking and talking. Well that was awkward.
