The Great Escape.
Vic's POV
I woke up with Holly held loosely against my chest and I found myself smiling. After what happened last night, I felt like our relationship was at its peak, and that made me happier than ever. I looked over at the alarm beside me which was quietly beeping; thankfully I'm not a heavy sleeper, and I could always sleep on the bus anyway. I decided I would let her sleep a little longer because she might find it difficult to sleep on the bus for the first couple of nights, because that's just how it works. The bus would be outside at around 5:30, so I had to make sure I was ready for that, and that Holly would also be ready, which meant I had around two hours. I knew we would need breakfast, but a lot of places wouldn't be open for a while, so I might as well find out from Kevin if we'll be stopping for breakfast. I sent him a quick text before I went downstairs, still only in some sweatpants. I went through to the kitchen and made myself a drink before I went and sat down in the living room, where all our stuff was now piled up. It was then that my phone buzzed, alerting me of a new message.
-We can stop for breakfast I guess, could you let the others know? Thanks
Well that's a relief then. I quickly sent a message to the others letting them know before I put on some music and headed upstairs again. After I had my second shower in 24 hours and got dressed into some skinny jeans, a Key Street shirt and some Vans, I went and sat beside the still sleeping Holly and smiled. "Holly, you need to get up" I muttered whilst shaking her body lightly. "Mm, I don't want to" she mumbled into the pillow. "Please? Wake up for me" I pouted, laying down beside her. She rolled over and looked at me with tired eyes before a small sigh escaped her mouth. "Fine. How long do we have until the bus is here?" I looked over at the clock and noted it was 4:30. "You have an hour" I laughed lightly. She nodded before I leant over and kissed her cheek and left her to get ready.
Around fifteen minutes later, Holly was stood in the living room doorway with a smile on her face. "I haven't seen that shirt before" I laughed lightly. "It's my brothers, I may have stolen it" she shrugged with a smirk. "We have 45 minutes, would you like me to get Austin round so you can say goodbye?" I asked, not wanting to just drag her away without saying her farewells to the one of her family members that actually treat her right. "Do we have time for that?" I nodded and her smile somewhat grew. "Wait here, I'll be back in a second. He won't want to murder me for waking him up will he?" She just shrugged which made this seem like a bad idea, but it was worth it.
Holly's POV
Vic was so fucking perfect, words couldn't even describe him. I truly love him for everything he's done for me, and nothing could ever change that. I was ready to see his reaction if Austin actually picked up; I didn't really expect him to because he's not really a morning person. Neither was I really, but I wasn't going to miss this opportunity.
A few minutes later, Vic walked back in with an amused expression. "Okay, well after being told I was the biggest asshole alive, I was told he'll be here in around 10 minutes, he didn't want to miss seeing you off" Vic laughed lightly. I nodded as he walked over and stretched his hands out for me, which I took without hesitation. The second I was stood up and both feet were firmly on the ground, I felt Vic's arms release my hands and wrap around my body, pulling me into his chest. I felt so much love for him in this moment; I always have felt love towards him, but this moment seemed perfect, sort of like last night. "What're you thinking about?" he asked, his voice just above a whisper as he brushed his thumb over my hip repeatedly. "How much I love you" I replied, my voice matching his in a hushed tone. His face somehow softened - if that were even possible - and his lips twisted into an even bigger smile before he brought his face forward and pressed his lips to mine in a quick motion, and I wasted no time before kissing back with as much enthusiasm. He deepened the kiss by slipping his tongue into my mouth, and I felt myself melt into the kiss as my body pressed against his more, although I truly thought that was impossible, but apparently I was wrong.
We stood there, lost in each others company until the door knocked, which surprisingly made Vic flinch and I couldn't help but laugh. "Shut up" he whined childishly as he pushed me lightly before walking towards the front door. I heard the sounds if talking but couldn't make out who Vic was talking to, although I assumed it was Austin. My assumption was proved correct when my very tired looking brother appeared with a smile, and he didn't hesitate to run over to me and pull me into a hug. "Hey, I've missed you" he grinned from where his chin was resting on my head. "It's only been a few days" I laughed lightly, admitting to myself that I to missed my brother like crazy; I always do, for a majority of my life, he was all I had. "I don't care. You could have gone without me knowing and then I wouldn't have the chance to see you off and I would have been worried and stuff." My grip around him somewhat tightened as sadness began to cloud my mind; I would be with some of the people I owed my life to, but I'd be leaving my brother here, and that makes me feel a little uneasy. "What's wrong?" Austin's soft and worried voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "What? Oh, nothing" I smiled. I noticed Vic look at me with the same worried expression, but I flashed him a smile to let him know I was fine. He smiled back before turning into the hallway, leaving Austin and I in a comfortable silence.
Time rolled by quickly, and it wasn't long until Austin was helping Vic and I put our stuff in either the bus or the trailer; obviously he was more than happy to help, not just because of everything they've done for us, but because he's always wanted to see the inside of a band's tour bus.
We finished loading up Vic and I's stuff, and then came one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. "You'll stay in contact, right?" Austin whispered as he held me to his chest like his life depended on it. "Of course I will. We won't be gone long anyway, I'll be back before you know it, it's only a little under a month long" I smiled into his shoulder. "I know. I'll miss you though. Can I talk to Vic on his own for a sec?" he asked me; why he was asking me, I'll never know. "Sure." "I'll come and say bye again after" he added before walking off the bus with Vic, leaving me with Kevin and Mike and a few of the crew members, because we still had to pick Jaime and Tony up. "Come here Holly" mike smiled as he patter the spot beside him. I smiled and slowly walked over to him and sat down before he pulled me into his side and wrapped his arm around my neck. "How're you this morning? Excited?" he asked, his voice sounding extremely tired. "Of course I'm excited, who wouldn't be?" I laughed like it were obvious. "Me. I'm too tired right now to feel excited" he chuckled lightly as he rested his head on the back of the surprisingly comfortable sofa. "You're going to have fun trying to sleep in this thing" he laughed teasingly. "I'm sure I will."
Vic's POV
I was surprised that Austin was pulling me out of the bus, but I guess he didn't want anyone else to hear what he was about to say. "What's up?" I questioned as we stopped and leant against the cold metal bus; it was quite cold outside, but that's because of the time, normally I'd still be asleep! "I want to thank you... again. And also to ask that you keep an eye on her. I know you will, I'm just..." he struggled to find the words, but I knew where he was going with this. "Worried" I added, finishing his sentence. "Yeah, worried" he smiled lightly. "I'll watch her don't worry, and you don't need to keep saying thank you, I love your sister and I will make sure she's safe like my life depends on it" I smiled reassuringly. He let out a sigh that I don't even think he was aware he was holding, and a smile instantly replaced his worried expression. "I know, I just needed to hear it. I guess you guys need to get going, so I'll see you in a month I guess" he smiled. "Wait, two seconds" I replied and ran back on the bus and over to where Mike and Holly were sitting. "Your brothers about to go, last chance to say goodbye" I smiled. "Thank you" she replied as she stood up.
A few minutes later she jumped back on the bus and I pulled her into my lap as we made the short journey to pick up Jaime and Tony so we could get breakfast and meet up with the other two bands.
