028 | ...in friendship

Forth has just returned from Macau due to an urgent issue in their ongoing project for KluWorx since Kongphob was still busy with his personal issues. He had to leave his family just a few days after Beam and Bjorn arrived and they allowed him since it was urgent. He was currently going over the contract of said project when he had an unexpected visitor.

"Such a busy man" Lam chuckled as he saw his best friend shuffling papers on his desk.

"Lam" Forth greeted him. "I didn't know you'll be dropping by"

"It's been a while that we've hang out, even Park misses your stubborn ass" Lam snorted.

Forth shook his head in amusement. "Take a seat Lam. Would you like some coffee, tea or juice?"

"Coffee is good" Lam answered as he took a seat on the couch.

Forth made a call to the intercom and asked for two cups of coffee and whatever snack they have. He straightened his back on his seat and looked at his longtime friend.

"Looks like marriage and family life suits you well" he teased Lam.

"I could say the same for you" Lam chuckled.

Bjorn was on his way to his Dad's office when he heard his P'Blake and P'Sora's voice trying to calm his Dad down. He hurried as much as he can with a tray full of pastries and coffee cups.

"Daddy" he called out to Forth the minute he stepped inside the office and saw him being pulled back by Blake.

"Listen, both of you are adults. Why don't you talk it out like adults and be ashamed of the kid here" Blake scoffed.

"Well, apparently your boss is a coward and likes to runaway from things and doesn't want to face them" Lam spat.

"I told you to stop it!" Forth roared. "This isn't the time to deal with it and the fuck does it have to do with you?"

Sora was caught in between calling out on Forth for his language and pulling back Lam away from Forth. He was about to say something when Bjorn beat him to it.

"How dare you call my Dad a coward! You barge here in our home and dare to insult him! Who are you in the first place you mean arrogant man?" Bjorn hissed coldly as he stood in front of Forth, in defense mode.

Lam was shocked to see and hear the boy's anger. He could see a mix of Forth and Beam in his face and attitude. "You look like Jaron but at the same time not" he mumbled and looked at Forth. "He's Beam's right?"

Forth gulped and held his head, as if in terrible pain. "Oh fuck you Lam. He doesn't know"

Bjorn looked at his father and Lam with confusion. Just as the bright kid that he is, he immediately caught up with what they were arguing about. "Papà, se sta dicendo che Jaron è mio fratello ... il mio fratello biologico, allora ha ragione. Per favore ascoltalo. Papa Beam lo ha partorito"

("Dad, if he is saying that Jaron is my brother...my biological brother then he is correct. Please listen to him. Papa Beam gave birth to him")

Forth was shocked with what his son told him. Lam was confused as it was spoken in a language he doesn't understand. Blake and Sora were also flabbergasted.

"Come fai a saperlo?" He asked his son.

("How do you know that?")

"I heard him and Uncle Bren talking last time. They didn't know I heard them...but if whatever that Uncle is telling you is the truth, I wouldn't mind Dad" Bjorn said with an encouraging smile. "I'll be a happy kid knowing our family is already complete...and I'm sure you'll be over the moon too"

Lam snickered which earned him a raised eyebrow from Forth. "I may have not understand what he told you but yeah, as I was saying before you went berserk. Beam was two months pregnant with your son when you left and from the looks of it, you were pregnant too, right?"

Forth took a deep breath before looking outside the window. He was about to answer his friend when the phone rang and Sora answered it.

"Boss, it's from the hospital. Dr. Tul called saying Dr. Beam passed out. He is being looked into as of speaking" Sora relayed.

Forth was on alert. "You and Blake look after the boys. I'll go to Beam" he said and moved to leave.

Lam reached a hand to stop him. "I'll go with you. It wouldn't do Beam any good if you arrive there in pieces"

Beam was placed in one of the suites and that is where he is when Forth arrived. Tul was there beside the bed while Phana, Kit and Thanu were seated on the couch in the room.

"What the bloody hell happened?" Forth asked as he approached the bed to see a crying Beam with Tul who was trying his best to calm the crying doctor.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Beam sobbed out as he hugged Forth's waist.

The engineer did his best in trying to calm him down in his hug. He shifted him a bit so he could sit down beside him on the bed and wrap him once more in his embrace, fully. Forth rubbed soothing circles on his husband's back while the sobs died down and his breathing became steady.

Forth looked at the man in his arms to find him asleep. He gently laid him down on the bed and tucked him in.

Lam is now seated along with Phana, Kit and Thanu while Tul remained beside Forth by the bed. The engineer looked at his friends, waiting for an explanation.

"Well, anyone care to tell me why we received a call saying Beam collapsed and when I get here he is in tears" Forth demanded.

Tul gulped and took a deep breath. "Well, I think congratulations are in order. Beam is three months along and his body is adjusting, hence him collapsing"

Forth was surprised and his mouth was agape, like a fish out of sea. "That's great!" He said happily but then frowned. "If that's the case, why was he crying and apologising?" he directed the question to those on the couch.

Phana sighed. "He was afraid you won't want the baby"

"Huh?" Forth looked confused.

Lam took pity on his friend. "He was pregnant when you left Forth. I think he's scared of that happening again"

Phana and the rest were stumped with Lam's statement. They were surprised the two came togethet earlier but they didn't know that Forth already knew.

"He knows already" Lam explained. "And all thanks to Bjorn for making his Dad see reason to hear me out"

"I'll talk to him when he wakes up" Forth told their friends as he kept seated by Beam's pillow on the bed.
