Bjorn has just finished his shift at the hospital. He was inside his office, gathering his stuff when Bahiyyah dropped by.
"Going home lover boy?" She asked his nephew.
"Yeah, I've been here doing a straight shift at the ER for forty-eight hours already. I need my sleep" Bjorn mumbled.
Bahiyyah snorted. "Well, Ren is down at the lobby waiting for you. He went straight here from the airport"
Bjorn groaned. "I told him I'll meet him at home. I had the driver pick him up"
"Well, seems like he missed you badly and opted to pick up his workaholic Neurosurgeon fiance instead" Bahiyyah chuckled.
It has been a few months since they finished their studies from the University. Bjorn and Bahiyyah are now doing their specialty while Ren just came back from a conference in Paris.
Beam has noticed Ren's talent in fashion designing and took him in Forthlux. He told his husband and mother-in-law that he would be an asset for the business, hence Ren being sent to different conferences for opportunities.
Bjorn shook his head in amusement as he made his way towards the lobby with his stuff. He was indeed met with the view of Ren lounging in the lobby reception area, browsing his phone with a cup of milktea.
He approached him and dropped a kiss on his head. "I instructed the driver to drop you at home so you could rest, hmmm?" Bjorn said as he plopped down beside him.
"Well, I'd rather wait for you here than be lonely at home. Besides, your shift is almost over so I asked to be dropped here instead" Ren said as he let Bjorn smother his lips with a kiss.
"You just missed me that much" Bjorn teased with a smirk.
Ren arched an eyebrow and chuckled. "Maybe" he responded as he stood up and gathered his jacket and milktea.
Bjorn found his antics adorable and stood up as well. "Let's go home then so you could show me how much you missed me"
They walked together hand in hand towards the parking where Bjorn's car is. They travelled in comfortable silence with a little bit of chitchat until Ren dosed off. It didn't take long for them to reach home.
Friya and Jared had gifted the couple their Bangkok house when they graduated. It was the one where Beam and Bren used to live with Forth's parents. They are to be wed in two weeks and their schedule is a bit tight with all the preparation and their work.
