Just as they have foreseened. Wayo broke up with Phana and kept his distance from the Crazy Docs and the Engineering boys. Despite Beam's attempts for the younger man to join them, he always finds a way to evade them.
Ming tried to talk to him too but he avoids him as well. They all knew how badly hurt Wayo was. Phana was his first love and relationship only to be betrayed with his best friend. Ming was like a brother to him and he also knows how their parents think. With a baby in the equation, he knew he needed to let go.
The first few days he felt so lost. Ever since he learnt what love is, it has always been Phana. His world revolved around him but he knew he can't continue living like that. He had to pick himself up and only he can help himself, no one can if he won't will it.
After moping in his dorm and living like a zombie in classes, he decided that he needed a distraction. He needed a change in everything he does. He finally enrolled himself in driving lessons and coerced his father into buying him his own car.

Next thing he decided to do was to hit the gym to outgrow his baby fats and be completely lean but not too muscled up. He also got rid of his naïve look and totally overhaul his wardrobe. Little by little, he was able to pick up the pieces of his scattered heart.
It has been four or five months that he has avoided and ignored the Crazy Doctors as well as his best friend. He mentally checked himself if he will be able to bear to see his ex-boyfriend being sweet with another man, his best friend. There might be twinges but he could bear them. It has been a while that he hasn't seen Ming and they promised to be there for each other, no matter what...and he's intent on keeping that promise.
He just had his breakfast at the new spot he found and was on his way to give Ming a visit when he got caught up in a little accident. An out of control motorcycle hit the driver's side of the car and he was rushed to the hospital. Luckily he only got a bump on the right side of his head and a bruise on his forehead.
Wayo was about to get off the bed when the intern who attended to him earlier was already beside him and helping him stand. He just looked at him and smiled.
"Thanks Phi" he said as he was able to keep standing.
"Uhm, how are you going home? I haven't seen anyone come for you" the intern said.
"Oh, that's fine. It was just a minor accident and there's no need to cause panic to my Dad. I'm Wayo by the way"
The intern clicked his tongue. "It wasn't just a minor accident. An accident is an accident. You bumped your head and you might not be feeling it yet but you might get dizzy while travelling"
"Ugh, thanks for the concern Phi" Wayo said awkwardly. It has been quite a while that he has someone look out for him but he doesn't intend to start again. He already learned to be on his own feet. "I can catch a taxi on my way home. They said they will take care of my car and the damages" he was talking about the guy who crashed into his car.
"I'm Thanu. I thinknI've seen you somewhere in campus" the intern introduced himself and tried to recall where he has seen the younger guy. "Oh, now I remember. You're Phana's boyfriend. He and the rest of the Crazy Docs are my juniors"
Wayo cringed at that and smiled awkwardly. "Ex-boyfriend. We're no longer together Phi and not that it's your concern but I would totally appreciate if you would not mention any of this to them"
"Oh I'm sorry Nong. I didn't know but you don't need to worry, I won't mention this to them" Thanu reassured him. "Hmm as long as you'll let me drive you back to your place. You shouldn't be wandering around alone in your condition" he offered without a chance for Wayo to decline.

In the next few days, Thanu offered to drive Wayo to and from the University since his car is still at the shop being fixed. It took a lot of effort for Thanu to make the younger man agree. He doesn't even know why he's doing it. He just feels at ease with Wayo.
It was the afternoon where Wayo will pick up his car and Thanu invited him to get a snack near the shop. The younger man decided to straighten out the situation with the older man.
"Listen Phi, I appreciate what you've been doing for me this past days but I'm going to be honest with you. If you're looking for something more, I don't think I'm ready for that. I just came from a long term relationship which ended badly. I don't want to jump into another one that quick" Wayo said with an honest look.
Thanu smiled at the younger man. "It's okay Nong. I love hanging out with you and I'm not expecting anything in return. Let's just enjoy whatever we have and wherever it leads us, we'll figure it out then when it comes"
Wayo chuckled. "Aren't you wasting your time by doing that? I mean, you could use it in meeting other people and maybe bumping into the one who's meant for you"
Thanu laughed at that. "Hey, I'm a Med student and our schedule sucks. I don't think I have the time to philander. Like I said, I'm not aiming for anything. When it happens, it happens"
That was the start of their friendship. They would hang out whenever Thanu's schedule allows it. Eventually it led for Wayo to visit the Medical foodcourt which allowed him to have a better closure with Phana and started to be present in Ming and Beam's life again.
He was in his third year when he and Thanu became official. Surprisingly, everyone hoped for them to be a couple since they could see how perfect they are for each other.
