It has been three days since Boone was moved into the ICU converted suite and is yet to wake up. Brissa remained in the hospital and Bahiyyah comes in daily to bring her mother changes of clothes. She also accompanies her until she needs to go home at night.
Bren and Blake moved into the Vongviphan manor to accompany Bahiyyah during the night. Blake would always drive the siblings to and from the hospital since they have been worried nonstop about their father. Bliss is currently on an 'extended sleepover' with her cousins at the Jamornhum residence where her parents visit her daily.
Jaron's behaviour improved a day after the event. He still doesn't want to talk to Rich about it but at least he lets his boyfriend hug and cuddle him to sleep. Bjorn on the other hand was happy with how his brother is trying to cope up.
Bjorn, Jaron and Rich have given their official statements, with Max and Sage as their witnesses, earlier. The family lawyer has driven them to the station and back to the Jamornhum residence.
Krit and Beam worked hand in hand in arranging a funeral for Aran. The neurosurgeon took it to himself to give the boy a decent wake since he died firmly believing Beam is his biological father. For him, that is the least he could do even if the said boy also caused him several heartaches for harming Jaron.
The Kiragun children visited on the last night along with the Jamornhum boys and their friends. They found some of Aran's classmates and professors there. Based from their stories, it seems like Aran was a great student albeit with an attitude. He has been excelling most of his subjects though his teachers always noticed him to be troubled.
Kraisee was there too. He was staying in a corner with few undercover guards, under Forth and Beam's payroll, protecting him from any form of attacks. The couple kept their word in making sure he would not be neglected and even treated him like one of their own.
Jaron moved to the balcony of the area his Papa rented for the wake. He excused himself saying he needed some air.
Bjorn and Rich followed him with their gaze. In the end, Bjorn signalled to his brother's boyfriend to follow Jaron with a simple gesture of his chin.
Once Rich stood up and followed his boyfriend, Lucien spoke up. "How are they?"
Bjorn heaved a frustrated sigh. "Well, seems like Jay reverted to the old Jaron that I met the first time...not talking and aloof"
Ren, who was beside his boyfriend, snuggled closer and brought his hand to Bjorn's nape and started playing with his baby hair growing from there. "They'll be okay" he softly said.
He may look so focused on his boyfriend but if you follow his gaze, he was looking at Jaron and Rich. "Even if Jay decides to become mute for the rest of his life, I doubt P'Rich's stubborness won't get to him"
Lucien chuckled. "Yeah, he'll pretty much be annoyed and scream his ire at Phi"
Sora snickered. "Just give Jay time. He'll be able to fully process what happened and before you know it, he'll be pestering the shit out of all of you again"
