032 | the parents

Boone indeed arrived with a cup of coffee from Brissa's favourite cafe, Beanstyle. It was a Cappuccino with three shots of espresso since she requested for a strong coffee. He also has Bren with him who looked curiously at the occupants of his brother's dorm.

"Mama!" Bren exclaimed as he ran towards Brissa and hugged her.

"Hello Bren, how are you?" Brissa asked as she hugged him back.

"I'm fine Ma. I missed you" the little boy told her.

"I missed you too baby. Why don't you go and check on your Phi. If he's still asleep you could lay beside him" Brissa told him.

Bren let her go and ran towards Beam's room which left Brissa, Boone, Phana, Lam and Park. Brissa told Boone to take a seat somewhere so they could talk.

"New friends Pha?" Boone asked.

"Sort of Uncle" Phana answered.

Just when they were about to start discussing, there was a knock on the door. Phana opened it to reveal Kit, Wayo and the Daichapanya twins. It was their lunch break and they chose to spend it at Beam's dorm instead. They also brought food for Phana, Lam and Park. The newcomers gave a proper wai to Brissa and Boone before sitting on the floor.

"Care to tell me what's up and who are these boys Pha, Kit?" Boone asked.

Phana cleared his throat before he started introducing everyone. "This is Wayo, my boyfriend" he said as he gestured to the boy beside him. "Those are the Daichapanya twins, Mark and Ming. The other two are their seniors Lam and Park"

"And why are we all here? I didn't know you are close to boys from another faculty" Boone commented.

"Did Beam tell you anything about dating an Engineering student?" Brissa answered his question witj another question.

Boone raised an eyebrow. "He did mention something about seeing someone but not the specifics" he said as he took a sip of his own coffee. "So, its an Engineering student...and I take it that it is one of them"

The twins choked on their drink while Lam's eyes widened and Park snickered. Phana scratched his head while Kit and Wayo chuckled.

"Oh Boone. It would've been easy if it was any of them. Your son's boyfriend isn't here but he is their friend. Apparently he went missing earlier this morning upon watching the news" Brissa said, obviously amused with his ex-husband.

"What was in the news?"

"Oh dammit Boone! What's the purpose of technology if you don't use it" Brissa groaned exasperatedly. "Remember that creep who sucks up to me like a leech? He had the balls to make a decision on my behalf and ruined our son's happiness"

"I thought you stopped seeing him?" Boone asked with a raised brow.

"There were functions wherein we come across each other but that's it. I never go with the same man twice. He just doesn't know when to stop dreaming" Brissa commented offhandedly.

"Now I know where P'Beam got his attitude" Mark whispered to his seniors who just snickered.

"Like mother, like son" Boone murmured before sipping his coffee.

"Were you saying something?" Brissa asked with an arched brow.

Boone raised his hands, along with the cup, in surrender. "Nothing Bree. So, who's the boyfriend?"

"Have you heard about the Jamornhum heir?"

"He's here? I thought the Jamornhums are in the States?"

"Apparently, it's just the patriarch who's there and the wife and heir are here in Bangkok"

"Why are we talking about them?" Boone asked with a frown.

"Because my boyfriend is the Jamornhum heir" Beam said from his bedroom door while he walks towards them.

"And you didn't care to tell us that?" Boone gawked.

Brissa just raised an eyebrow at him while Bren peaked from behind his brother and looked at everyone with wide eyes.

"Are you angry at Phi because he didn't tell you about his P'Forth?" Bren wondered aloud.

Brissa was surprised. "How do you know about him sweetie?" She asked in a soft voice.

Even Phana and the rest were also shocked. Only Phana and Kit knew about the real situation about Bren and the rest thought that Beam was totally closed off with everyone, including his family.

"Phi would often tell stories about him whenever he visits me. I'm happy that he makes Phi happy but I haven't had he chance to meet him yet. Is he coming?" Bren's excitement is quite noticeable.

Beam tried to keep his tears at bay. "No Bren, Phi isn't coming because Phi left..." and tears started rolling down his cheeks.

Brissa rushed to his side and gathered her son in her arms. "You should've told us sooner Beamie. How could you think I'll object to anything that would make you happy" she said as she kisses his temple. "We'll do everything we can to find him, okay? Now who wants to take Bren to get food for everyone?" She directed the question to the boys.

"I'll take him Auntie" Kit offered as he stood up and held his hand out for Bren to take.

"I'll go with them too. They might have a hard time carrying the bags" Mark hurriedly joined them.

"Here Kit. Buy whatever you think is suitable for lunch for everyone" Boone said as he gave Kit a stash of cash that is more than enough.

"I'll return the change Uncle" Kit said before they stepped out.

Once they were gone, Brissa pulled Beam to sit beside her. "Why did you hesitate to tell me? You could've told your Dad since you didn't have any trouble telling Bren"

"I am partly to blame" Beam admitted. "At first, I thought he would easily get tired of me. Afterall, I know how demanding I could be and difficult too...but then, every hour, minute I spend with him. He makes me fall deeper and I didn't know how to tell you and Dad"

"What gave you the idea that I was dating that shitbag?" Brissa remembeted to ask.

"He showed me photos of you and him together and I asked you once and you confirmed it" Beam answered accusingly.

Brissa tried so hard to remember and pinched Beam on his side. "You fucktard! You asked me if I was with Tharit and of course I said yes because we were having a meeting that time! You didn't elaborate your question" she hissed.

"Ouch Mom!" Beam pouted as he rubbed his aching side once Brissa let go.

"Oi you two, stop giving this boys a show of how uncouth you are" Boone berated them. "What's the plan now?"

"We would definitely be facing the Jamornhums for this" Brissa groaned. "Will Jared Jamornhum be in the country or is it just the wife?" She asked Lam and Park.

"Well, Auntie Ria said they've already set a search party for him. They'll definitely want to meet Beam but I'm not sure when" Lam answered.

"What are you planning with to do with the man?" Park asked. "Forth's father would definitely not let this pass"

Brissa gritted her teeth. "Well, he could get in line. I'll skin him alive then probably burn him to death and resurrect him once more to repeat the process. He could do whatever he wants after I'm done. Nobody hurts my son without facing me"
