Yesterday was a blast. They reached the beach around lunch time and the boys enjoyed their afternoon together. Their parents could expect to see them baked when they are returned, despite Friya's never-ending reminder about the use of sunscreen.

Max and Blake could already the see the signs of sunburn on the boys by the time they had their dinner around the bonfire. Only Bren and Jaron were free from sunburns. Friya could be seen smiling tenderly as she recalled how Bjorn took care of his brother during the day.

They fooled around a bit after eating, sharing stories and teasing each other. Max, Friya and Blake remained on the sides and let the boys bond.

The next day, Friya could see the Suthilak boys and Bjorn trying their best to teach Jaron to surf. Brissa had once told her about Jaron being able to swim now courtesy of his brother and friends. She admired Bjorn's patience with Jaron and they looked like they were getting along just fine.

Jaron gave in to his brother's plea to try surfing. After learning the basics and a failed attempt, he walked towards the shore with his surf board in hand. "Maybe some other time Phi. I'd rather stay in the shade with a good book in hand than try and drown in those waves"

Bjorn snickered. "At least you've tried. It was good though. I thought you'd fall off immediately but you were able to go and ride that wave a bit before being washed out"

Jaron chuckled. "Maybe I'll give it a go when we're with Dad and Papa. Let's go take pictures during sunset Phi"

Bjorn smiled and shook his head in amusement. "Alright, lemme enjoy the waves first. You could go back to the cottage and mingle with the other boys while I join Al and Kai"

"Go" Jaron responded with a chuckle as they go opposite directions.

Once Jaron was able to drag his wet self to their cottage, he set his surfboard against the wall before he sat down. He could see his brother and the Suthilaks surfing from where he is.

He stayed there for a while before getting up and taking a shower. Once he was freshened up, he met Lucien, Park and Lam's son, and Param, Phana and Ming's son, in the living room.

"What are you guys doing here? Where are the others?" Jaron asked them.

"Mae Ria took Tavin with her. They were with Uncle Max and said will be buying more supplies for us" Param answered.

"I'm sure Uncle Yo would never hear the end of how Mae Ria this and that" Jaron chuckled.

"You're lucky you have two cool grandmothers" Lucien commented with a smile. "Oh, and the rest are with P'Bren and Uncle Blake"

Jaron sat in betweem them and leaned his head on the backseat. "Why is it P'Bren? He's Papa's brother...shouldn't it be Uncle too?" He wondered out loud.

"Tehcnically, he's yours and P'Bjorn's uncle...not ours. We just see him like an older brother, like P'Sage and P'Kai" Param answered.

"It's boring here and I'm starving. Let's head out to find something to eat" Lucien told them as he got up. "Got cash?"

Jaron nodded. "Yep, my dads gave me enough to cover until next summer" he bragged while waggling his eyebrows.

Param snickered. "Our dads are all the same"

They were outside the eatery by the beach. Jaron opted to stay by the shade of the trees while Lucien and Param bought their food. He was content in watching the people by the beach when two boys approached him.
