Forth looked beside him. Lying on the bed was the most important person for him, as important as his son. Beam was lying face down on the bed with only a shirt on and the sheets covering his body waist below.
Forth was immediately flooded with memories of their first night. That time, they were both intoxicated and was honestly drawn to each other. Last night, they were both sober and he knew they still crave each other. He is still trying to wrap his head around what happened. He shook his head to shake off the thoughts and decided to just live in each day and stop overthinking.
He was sitting with his back leaning on the headboard. He is tempted to have one more taste of Beam but he knows he overdid it already. He decided to spare him now and just have more of him after they get married. They have a whole lifetime ahead of them and he'll make sure to not let go of Beam now, unlike before.
Last night, he was shocked to find out that his intended was the same man he ran away from. He was speechless at first but got his bearings back in control. He wanted to know how it happened but he doesn't want to open a can of worms.

Forth looked behind him and stood up when he saw that Beam and his parents were indeed standing behind him. He had never met Brissa Yaranthon and Boone Vongviphan before and from up close, he could see where Beam got his looks.
He gave them a polite smile and clasped his hands together and bowed his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Yaranthon and Mr. Vongviphan" he said.
"Oh, enough with the formalities Forth. We'll be family in no time" Brissa said with a warm smile.
"Hello Forth. It's nice to see you again" Beam greeted him.
"Likewise" Forth said and he gestured towards the seats. "Join us, please"
They all sat down and the food was brought in. They started to eat and the parents began to discuss about their businesses and then they focused on Forth.
"So, Forth, tell us about your business. Your parents have been bragging about it to us" Brissa said in a joyful manner, too eager for Forth's taste.
"KluCorp. It has three branches, KluFunk which deals with virtual and online game developing, KluTech deals with databases and machines related to healthcare and KluWorx is for building and construction" Forth answered monotonously.
He felt like he is on a job interview. He remembered when he left, he doesn't know where he stands in Brissa Yaranthon's eyes. All he was able to meet was Tharit Sunthorn, the rumoured boyfriend then of this woman. From the looks of it, she isn't far from what he expected.
"Oh, healthcare. You might want to inspect the hospital Forth, once you settle here in Bangkok...if you ever consider the option" Boone said.
Forth smiled tightly. "Depends on what Beam and I will agree to. My business is based in Italy, my son is in Italy...technically, everything for me is there"
"Oh, you have a son" Brissa was surprised.
Beam too but he was quick to compose his facial reaction.
"Is that going to be a problem?" Forth asked, coldly.
"Definitely no!" Beam answered. "I'm sure he'll get along with Jaron"
"Jaron?" Forth said with a raised brow. "Oh, your son. Mom and Dad mentioned him earlier. I'm sure they'll get along. My son isn't that hard to please"
Beam was about to say something when Forth's phone rang. He turned to them to excuse himself and said, "Why don't Beam and I catch up and discuss the details we wanted then you guys can fill out what we miss? I just need to get this, it's quite urgent"
When Forth left, Beam looked at their parents and sighed. "This going to be harder than we thought, huh?"

Beam had a hard time figuring out Forth. When he left earlier, their parents discussed about his indifference and cold attitude. He was so far off from the cheesy and sweet Forth. Their parents left them to their devices taking Max with them.
When Forth came back, they took a stroll down the shops and tried to start a conversation.
"How have you been?" Beam tried.
Forth looked at him for a while before he responded. "Hmmm...I guess I'm good. Life has been good to me so far. You?"
"Miserable. I missed you. I was at a loss on why you left but I guess part of it is my fault. Now that you're here...I guess we can start over?" Beam said hopefully.
Forth looked at him, full of mixed emotions. He pulled him closer and hugged him. "I'm sorry I left...that I had little faith in us" he said as he tightened his hug. "And yes, we can start over. Let's move forward and maybe can reopen our wounds sometime later but not now. Is that okay?"
Beam nodded as he burrowed his face in his embrace. He missed this, his warmth.
"How about we go back to my room...or do you have a place in mind you want to go to?" Forth asked.
"I'm staying at my mom's house and both she and my son are there. So, your room it is" Beam said with a blush as he pulled away from Forth's embrace
Forth chuckled. "You are being adorable, you know?"
Beam became red as a beet. He tried to hid his face behind his hand as he looked down.
"Nonuse hiding baby. I've seen them all before and I guess I'll just have to relearn your reactions then" Forth teased him more.
Beam slapped his bicep an pouted. "Stop it you jerk!" He still can't stop blushing.
Forth chuckled and just wrapped his arm around the other man's shoulder so he could pull him closer. When they reached Forth's room, the taller man immediately latched his lips to the others and they both succumbed to their desires.
