Peach was in tears when she heard what Bren called her. Never in her life had she imagined the son whom she neglected would still have the heart to recognise her and call her 'mother'. Tears of joy started streaming down her face and part of her also felt that guilt ebbing in her heart. She knows she doesn't deserve the recognition but she was basking in it.

Beam noticed her inner turmoil and squeezed her hand in his. He held out his other hand to Bren and when the younger took it, he brought it towards the older woman's hand. "I'll take my leave now so you can bond with your sons"

Just as Beam was about to stand, Peach tightened her hold on his hand. "Please stay Dr. Beam. I know he would want you here too"

Beam looked at Bren who looked back at him with pleading eyes. The older sighed and ruffled his brother's hair. "Okay, I'll stay"

As Bren sat on the bed, just where Beam sat, Peach held on tight to his hand and reached her other hand to caress Bren's face. She stared lovingly at her son and kept on stroking his cheek.

Pree and Rich remained by their father's bed as they watch the scene in front of them. It wasn't a secret to Kukrit that his wife had other children aside from Annie, Rich and Pree. He knew what Peach had been through and he was the one who helped her in improving herself.

As Bren allowed his biological mother to touch him, he also reached out and gathered her in his embrace. Heaven knows how scared he was when he saw her bloody in the Emergency Room and how lost he is when he found out about the her illness.

Both he and Lem were almost hopeless but Beam told them that there might still be hope and reminded them of Lem's situation before. They are doctors and they must be driven to find a way to cure her, giving up is never an option unless all types of remedy have been tried.

"I missed staring into those eyes of yours" Peach said as she gazed into Bren's warm eyes. "They were my hope back then whenever I am drawn into thinking of the past"

A tear fell from Bren's eyes which she wiped away gently.

"I know it's too late to ask for forgiveness for neglecting you and I know I don't deserve it" she said as she tried her best to hold her tears back. "But can you find it in your heart to give me a chance to make it up to you? I know you already have Mrs. Bree as your mom, I'm not asking to take her place...just a chance to spend time with you until..." she was unable to finish what she needs to say as she started to sob.

Realisation dawned on them. It was Lem who spoke. "You knew?"

Pree and Rich were confused.

"Knew what?" Rich asked as he wrapped an arm around his shaken sister.

"Your mother is sick. We have been trying to find a way to lengthen her time but everywhere we go, they always say it's too late" Krit spoke.

"The facilities you went to were nowhere affiliated with us. We have the advanced technology that they don't and we will do our best...who knows, maybe we can find something they can't" Beam said with determination.

"Thank you Dr. Beam, but I've already accepted my fate and would just like to spend time with my husband and children" Peach countered once she calmed down.

"What's going on?" Pree mumbled as she trembled in Rich's arms.

"Mom is suffering cervical cancer and it has passed stage three" Lem answered with a choked sob.

"You can't just give up Mother" Bren suddenly spoke with tears drenching his face. "What would happen to my siblings? They would be devastated. What about Lem and I? Wouldn't you want to spend more time with us, get to know your granddaughter and son-in-law?"
