Stell's POV
The overhead lights glared at me, and I tried so hard not to squint. I could barely make out the faces of the crowd, but I felt their stares. They were all looking at me. At us.
I took a deep breath, trying hard to remember the breathing exercises that Teacher Hong taught us. I could feel Justin fidgeting beside me, tense.
The music started, and I closed my eyes, trying to feel the music, the emotions welling up inside of me.
Before I knew it, it was time for me to belt out.
I hit every note. My singing was impeccable. I could hear the audience clap, impressed.
I sang with all my heart, the words perfectly echoing what I feel.
Paano nga ba mapapawi
Labis na pagdurusa
Kung wala ng pang-asa
Turuan mo naman akong limutin ka.
The music ended.
My pain didn't.
