Megumi stared blankly at the ceiling above her. Pulling her bed covers a little higher in an attempt to obtain more warmth. She let out an uncomfortable hum as her stomach churned at the slight movement. Moving to wrap her arms around her midsection as if it would cure the pain.
It had been a few hours since Megumi arrived home from her interaction with Akito, and since then she had been shut in her room. Shigure going as far as to allow her to eat in her room. According to Shigure, her nerves and stress from her surprise meet up with Akito caused the girl to gain a fever. It wasn't shockingly high, just an average fever.
The symptoms still left her bedridden, though. An upset stomach and a strong headache making it hard for her to accomplish sleep. A wave of dizziness whenever she attempted to close her eyes, putting an end to that solution. Therefore, she decided to stare at the ceiling in the dark in order to wait for the medicine to take effect.
Which wasn't quick enough in Megumi's opinion.
Sighing, Megumi reached around her side, feeling around for her cellphone. Hitting something hard in the plush comforter, Megumi grabbed it. She brought it up above her face, seeing her screen lighting up, illuminating the edges of her pink phone case. She quickly typed in the numbers needed to unlock it. Selecting Instagram before boredly swiping through her home feed.
This entertained her long enough till she heard a quiet knocking on her door. Almost hesitant with how quiet it was. Megumi let out a semi-loud hum, regretting it almost instantly when the world spun momentarily once more.
Tohru poked her head in slightly. Glancing around the darkroom till her brown eyes caught on to the faint light Megumi's phone was giving off. Tohru walked into the silent room, Yuki walking in after her. Both trying their best to navigate themselves safely to where Megumi laid.
The duo sat beside Megumi's bed. Watching as Megumi slowly turned towards the two. Hands hugging her midsection again in a small show of support. Tohru leaned forward, placing a cool towel on Megumi's forehead to help the girl combat the fever. Said girl letting out a sigh of relief at the cooling sensation.
"That should help with your fever! Are you feeling any better?" Tohru questioned, voice soft and motherly.
Megumi nodded her head, cringing internally when she felt a cold water drop slither down her neck from the towel. "Mhm. My- My stomach isn't f-feeling much better..." She whimpered out. Words being somewhat slurred, either from lack of sleep or the fever she didn't know.
Tohru smiled, standing from her spot on the floor beside the silverette who had been oddly quiet. "I know! I'll make you a tea my mom used to make for me! It's sure to make you feel better!" She quickly exited, a slight pep in her step from the brilliant thought she had.
