A/N: Ayo, I don't dislike Kagura, no matter how much it seems I do alright! Please don't attack me!

The house grew chilly; the once functioning doors now laying in a heap of wood and paper on the porch. Allowing full access for the crisp air that came along with springtime to settle in the living room where everyone sat, causing a slight shiver to everyone's bodies as they adjusted to the newfound wave of air.

Megumi had been pushed to the right so that Kagura could sit at the table with the rest of the Sohma's and Tohru. Minus Kyo who, as always, sat by himself on the porch, holding an ice pack to his cheek. Megumi had heavily debated joining him on the porch once Kagura had sat beside her, but went against it.

To be quite true, she had debated leaving the living room altogether. Stopping the inevitable headache before it had a chance to fester. Not even wanting to give Kagura the chance to piss her off or make her feel uncomfortable. Yet, despite all that, Megumi had decided to stay seated. To give Kagura the benefit of the doubt. That maybe, just maybe, Kagura knew better by now and just wouldn't mess with her.

Megumi knew she was being too hopeful after ten minutes of being around the girl.

Yes, she had apologized for breaking through the doors and explained that she had just gotten too excited to think the moment she saw Kyo. But it still annoyed Megumi endlessly. She had just got better from her fever not too long ago; she didn't want another one so quickly after, for such an idiotic reason no less. Plus, couldn't she have thought the tiniest bit before acting? Would that have been so hard?

Then she started going on about how she was Kyo's 'fiancé'. Recalling the ridiculous story to tell a curious Tohru how somehow believed the two-sided girl. A story that Megumi had heard Kyo complain about more times than she could count. Which, granted, he did this time as well but was just ignored by the two brunettes. Long story short, Kagura held knives at him and forced him into saying yes when they were kids. Okay, maybe a little more than that happened, but you get the picture.

Much to both Megumi's and Kyo's annoyance, Kagura even went as far as mentioning Kyo's 'true' form. Luckily Kyo acted fast enough before she could dumbly continue the already forbidden topic. Tohru also didn't push it, which comforted Megumi ever so slightly. Of course, it all ended up with Kyo getting an uppercut and falling into the koi pond.

After it was established that Kagura was staying for the day, everyone dispersed from the table, wandering off to do their own things. Megumi had decided to follow after Tohru and help her clean the dishes they used for lunch.

It was a moderately effortless task for the two girls to do, sharing a light conversation as they cleaned and dried the porcelain discs. The two finished up quickly and were dragged back to the porch to fix the broken door. Megumi simply going along for Tohru's sake.
