Chapter Seventeen

Narrator's POV:
The diamonds sat on their thrones, thinking of the last time they seen Steven. It felt like centuries to them when it's only been about a month.

"I wonder how Steven is doing?" Blue pondered, leaning her chin on her hand.

"I'm sure he's fine, Blue don't be such a worry wort," Yellow giggled slightly, patting Blue's shoulder which evoked a blush from her.

Suddenly it felt like the entire world shook underneath them.

"What is that?!" White demanded, standing from her throne.

Two Pearl's that belonged to Yellow and Blue barged into the room. "My Diamonds we're under attack!" Yellow Pearl screamed, panicking while Blue Pearl not showing much emotion had a clear look of fear on her face.

"From who?!" Yellow stood up, marching up to her Pearl.

Suddenly the door blasted open, sending Yellow and the two Pearls flying against the wall. Blue immediately rushed to her aide. "Yellow are you okay?!"

"Yeah.. I'm alright Blue," Yellow slowly stood herself back up.

White's anger was through the roof. "Who is responsible for this?!"

"Hehe~" A low voice chuckled as he walked through the door. "Come on, can't you remember your fellow diamond White? It's been too long."

White slowly backed away in fear, "n-no it can't be... We shattered you! HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?!"

Red laughed, "you know why I'm not shattered? Pink couldn't bring herself to do it so I escaped and faked my death," he grabbed White by the throat, lifting her off the ground.

"WHITE!!!" Blue and Yellow rushed towards Red, anger filling their forms.

"Sit down!" Red barked with a flick of his wrist, sending a force that sent Blue and Yellow both off their feet into the wall.

"Unhand her!" Blue screamed, the entire aura enveloping in her blue aura of sadness and pain. Red felt nothing as his head turned towards her still holding White.

"Is that really the best you got Blue? After five thousand years this is the strength you have to show for it!" Red growled and lifted his hand, charging a an orb in his hand. "PATHETIC!" a large beam shot from his hand, heading directly for Blue.

She couldn't move, there was only awaiting the inevitable.

"BLUE!" Yellow rushed in front of Blue, shielding her from the blast as she took the whole blunt of it. "AHHHHHHHH!!!!" she screamed in agonizing pain, before her form gave out and her gem fell to the floor.

Blue unshielded her eyes in horror and slowly grasped Yellow's gem. "N-no... YELLOW!!!" She cried out, grasping tightly onto her gem.

Red just laughed and turned back to White.

"You monster.... You have no right
to call yourself a diamond.." White choked on her words, struggling to break free.

He just looked at her, "and you call yourself a diamond? Hah! You were the strongest of all of us White, what happened? Too busy trying to make things perfect after poor little pink got shattered? I expected more of a fight than this!" Red took her by the throat and slammed her into the floor.

The two Pearls just stood there in horror, watching the scene unfold. They were just Pearls, how could they face a diamond when he's defeated their own? Their was only one option. Run.

"We need to contact Steven!" Yellow yelled towards Blue Pearl. She nodded and followed suite with her out of the diamond's throne room.

"Looks like your little Pearl's aren't gonna save you. Why are all of you so pathetic?" Red gripped onto White tightly. "We were the number one empire in this galaxy! And now look at it. It's nothing, weak and USELESS!" He threw her into the white throne seat, completely shattering it.
