Lost Without You {COMPLETED}

Chapter Twenty One

Steven's POV:
Sunshine hits my eyes like a spotlight as I slowly open them. The room was still a bit dark due to how it was created. Looking around I see all the candles were blown out. That's when my mind immediately remembers everything from last night. Lapis is sleeping nice snug against me. She looks precious laying there I dare not disturb her.

The bottle we drank from lays on the nightstand, completely vacant of any liquid left. We must have drank a lot last night but at the same time, I don't regret what me and Lapis shared. It was beautiful. Leaning down I give her head a gentle peck before slowly slipping out of her grasp, and getting out of bed.

"Hm..." Lapis mumbles, stirring a bit before opening her eyes. She immediately smiles at me. "Morning handsome~"

"Morning beautiful~" I reply lovingly, taking a seat at the edge of the bed.

Lapis crawls out to the edge before wrapping her arms around me, pressing her breasts against my back. "Last night was beautiful."

I take her hands into mine, "It was."

She begins kissing my neck, "care to do around two?~" Lapis giggles.

"There will be more to come Lappy, for now, let's get dressed and go out on the town, " I suggest before the ground begins to shake.

Lapis and I immediately jump off the bed as I throw on my clothes. "What is that?!" I demand before opening our balcony door. My heart dropped.

There was the same familiar ship hovering above me. Red Diamonds...

A projection appears, showing the one and only. But he wasn't on the ship. He was... My fists clutched tightly. There at my home...

"Steven! My long-lost brother, how have you been? Been a couple of months since we last chatted, well since I ate your aunt in front of you, " Red develops a devilish smirk upon his face.

It takes everything in me to plant myself firmly on this balcony before lunging at that ship. Lapis holds onto me tightly as he laughs.

"So you decide to skip town or something?" Red gives a boring stare. "I really don't like waiting, " he steps off to the side before my heart sinks further.

There was Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Peridot, Bismuth and a good majority of the gems from Little Home School were there in these black cuffs, locked around their arms and legs. Even Lion was there...

"Like the view? You left your home wide open for the taking. And your family wasn't very good at putting up a fight, " Red grabs Pearl by the neck, lifting her off the ground.

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!" Amethyst screams, struggling against the cuffs before a surge of red electricity courses through her body, sending a shock through her as she lets out a blood-curdling scream.

Red chuckles, "didn't I say not t struggle or that would happen? Crystal gems never listen. Anyway, " he holds Pearl up with a blade to her gem. "If you don't want to see your family all die before your very eyes I suggest you get moving back here. Or, " he then shoves his sword through Pearl's gut.

"Steven... Help us..." is the last words that come from her mouth before she loses her form.

"I suggest you get moving, Steven before you start seeing human blood spill."

The projection cuts off as the ship takes off.

"Steven..." Is all Lapis says, hugging me tightly.

"We need to go, now... You gotta fly me back home Lappy.." I say.

I feel a small smile, "just like old times?"

"Heh, just like old times."

~Meanwhile At Beach City~
Red took a seat on his throne that was now planted in the sand. "So what do we do in the meantime while we're waiting?" He asks his soldiers as they stood guard over everyone.

"Maybe kill some humans? The sound of them screaming might make him move faster, " One of them suggests.

Red grins, "I do love a good human slaughter, bring the dark human girl up to me, " he demands.

"Yes sir, " One of them moves from their posts and grabs someone none other than Connie Mahashwarren.

"Let go of me!" She squirms against his iron grip to no avail.

The soldier sits her down in front of Red as he gazes down at her. "So you're the human sword fighter I've heard tell of?"

Connie just stares up at him in silence and fear, but she wasn't going to show him that. She had to be strong for her parents, for everyone.

"Silent type huh? Heh, I got ways of making you scream, " Red punches her in the face, then proceeds to kick in her ribs. Suddenly there was a snap and Connie couldn't hold It anymore.

"AHHHHHH!!!!!"

"Get your hands off my daughter!" Doug stands up and tries to draw his gun, before getting a rifle pointed at his head.

"A fighter for his daughter, how cuuuuute, " Red says mockingly. "Execute him."

Connie's and Priyanka's eyes went wide.

"As you wish Red, " His soldier replied before holding the gem rifle to doug's head."

Doug looks over at his wife and daughter. "Priyanka, Connie... Know that I love you both so much. Whatever happens I'm always with you-" his words were silenced by a bullet to the head as his body dropped to the ground. His head spewing blood all over the sand.

Tears started dropping from Connie's eyes and Priyanka's. "D-dad...." her body went completely limp as she submitted.

"Y-you monsters!" Peridot screamed. "Slaughtering innocent humans who did nothing to you!"

Red perks up, "Oh? And how aren't they innocent little gem?"

"Because they have lives like anything else in this universe, "a familiar voice sounds out.

Red looks up as he sees a pink, spiked diamond ball plummeting towards him. He quickly moves out of the way as it crashes into his throne, completely destroying it. Connie was able to move out of the way barely due to her condition.

"Now who just spoiled my torture time?!" Red growls.

"Who else, brother, " Steven says as the pink orb dissipates, leaving him standing there. Lapis lands behind him.

"S-Steven!!!" Connie cheers as does everyone else.

Red grins, "so you finally showed up. Too late there was already a casualty, " he gestures to Doug's corpse.

Steven looks over and nearly vomits right then and there. Before turning back to Red.

"Lovely art isn't it?" Red smirks maliciously.

Gem rifles are pointed at everyone's heads.

Red grins with his razor-sharp teeth. "So what's it gonna be? Surrender and be my prisoner, or" he grabs Connie by the throat, holding his blade to her throat. "Fight and watch everything you love die before your eyes. The choice is yours, but be sharp about it."

Steven gazed at Connie, the fear and dread written in her eyes. Then he looked at everyone. Gripping his fist tightly, he knew he had to come up with a plan and come up with one fast.

Side note: I know it wasn't explained, but Red went out and captured everyone, including Lars. Connie just happened to come to visit the temple when Red began to invade. Just wanted to clear that up, so there wasn't any confusion. :3
