Lost Without You {COMPLETED}

Chapter Twenty Two

"So what will it be?" Red demands, drawing his blade closer to Connie's throat.

Steven stood his ground with a smile. "Neither, " he responds with confidence.

Red raises his brow in surprise, "neither? Don't test me Steven I will kill her!" He draws his blade closer, the metal touching her throat.

"Steven what are you doing?!" Amethyst demands, confused on his behavior. "He's already killed many gems and people! He shattered Centi...."

He seemed completely unfazed by it, which confused everyone. Steven gives his family a quick wink. "I've made my decision Red, I'll be your prisoner but only if you let my family, and everyone here go."

Red thought about it before letting Connie go. "I accept your offer brother, we'll have so much fun together, me and you."

"No Steven don't do it!" Connie begs, trying to stand but ultimately fails.

Soldiers grab Lapis away from him as he walks up to Red. Red grins, reaching out his hand. Steven grows to his size from all of his training to diamond size. "What do you say brother? Ready to watch this universe burn?"

Steven slowly takes his hand. "Did you really think I would submit to you?"

"Huh?" Red blinked in confusion before Steven reeled his head back and slammed it into his.

"Ugh.." Red falls backwards, but Steven didn't give him a chance, punching him in the face. He then lifted Red off the ground and threw him into the cliffside. Rocks tumbled on top of him, burying the diamond under.

Everyone stood there mouth agape, even Red's soldiers were left in shock.

"NOW JASPER!" Steven ordered as a giant orange ball launched out of no where, spinning faster and faster.

"SHOOT IT!" One of the soldiers demanded.

All of them opened fire, but Jasper was too fast. She started knocking one by one down like pins on a bowling lane. Steven summoned a blade in his hand from his gem. It was razor-sharp, sharp enough to cut through steel. He was finally offense and defense. "Crystal gems! People of Beach City! It is time to fight for our home! Show them we're unstoppable when we work together!"

Jasper walked around breaking their cuffs.

"Thanks, sis, " Amethyst smiled with tears in her eyes.

"Anything for a fellow quartz, " She offered her hand to which Amethyst took it.

Steven walked over to his family as they all engulfed him in a hug. "I missed you guys, where's Pearl?"

"Right here, " Garnet put her hand out, opening it showing Pearl's gem. "I snatched it from Red."

Steven smiled, "good, now Peridot do you still have that weapon we worked on for Red's ship?" He asks, breaking Peridot's cuff.

"Yes I do!" Peridot nodded.

"Good, get to Little Home School and get ready. When you see his ship in sight, take the shot," Steven instructed as Peridot nodded before taking off.

Bismuth chuckles, "and here I thought I was gonna have to beat some sense into you."

"Trust that I would never give up on you guys, you're my family. I'm your leader and right now that's what I'm going to do," Steven says with determination written in his voice.

The diamonds and the others smile brightly.

"You really are like your mother Steven," Yellow commented. "Full of compassion and care for others it's astounding."

Steven grins, "thanks aunty Yellow."

Their reunion was cut short by an explosion behind them. Rock debris flew in every direction as everyone dodged out of the way. Red stood up from the crater he created, a red aura enveloping his form. Pure power surging throughout his body. "Steven... that was a cheap move..." He snarled, his eyes glowing.

"Take care of his soldiers, I'm going to end this," Steven orders his family and friends as they nod.

Lapis rushed up to him, throwing her arms around him and giving him a deep, passionate kiss. "Don't you die on me..." she whispers.

"I won't... now go!" He pulls back and turns to Red.

The others begin battling the soldiers, taking out their weapons. Some humans grabbed the gem rifles and began firing. Steven began to glow pink as his aura grew in strength. "You wanted this fight, brother so give me all you got," he says, getting in a battle ready stance with his sword.

Red ripped off his cape, "oh I promise you this will end quick."

Steven narrowed his eyes, pointing his sword towards Red. "Then let's end this," he dashed forward as Red did as well. "Once and FOR ALL!"

Their blades clashed together, and so the battle of two brothers had begun

These chapters at cranking out left and right. This is my apology for updating so little. I know it's short, but I need to draw this out to make it good so just have faith in me. And only reason that it's in narrator POV is that I feel it makes the battle easier for me at least, instead of going into a bunch of different perspectives, which yes would draw out the story more and probably provide more details on what's going on. But to be honest I just want to be done with this story, I'm putting my all into finishing it for you guys, and making it good. I hope I don't let anyone down.
