Lapis's POV:
A place we went to together for the first time? I put some thought into it, drawing a blank on the answer. Steven looks over at me for a second with an amused look.

"Come on, Lappy how don't you know this?" He smirked.

I pursed my lips in fustration, "you're playing unfair games Universe!"

Steven snickers, "but how? It's not a hard answer."

Wait, the only place we went together was a long time ago when he was thirteen. "Empire City?"

He wiggles his finger with grin. "ding ding ding!"

I smile at his childish humor, "I suppose it has been a long time since we've been back there, and we only really flew over the city."

"Someday when all this fighting is finally over," Steven leans his hand over to grasp mine. "I'll show you everything there is to Earth, places you've seen in magazines and read in stories. I want to take you to them, just you and me, " he gently squeezes my hand.

Words couldn't express how much I truly love him. "And that's a promise?" I lean my head against his shoulder.

Steven kisses the top of my head, before focusing his sight back onto the road. "A promise I take to my grave, Lappy.

I kiss his cheek and give a quick peck on his lips. "I'll hold you to that."

Steven reaches to twist a knob on his radio. A song, good in beat and rhythm begins to play. He looks to immediately recognize. "This is such a good song! It helped with my depression after my breakdown." Without hesitation, he starts singing, tapping his fingers along the steering wheel.

Maybe I'm foolish
Maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this
And see what's behind
Got no way to prove it
So maybe I'm blind
But I'm only human after all
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Take a look in the mirror
And what do you see
Do you see it clearer
Or are you deceived
In what you believe
'Cause I'm only human after all
You're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
Don't ask my opinion
Don't ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness
For making you cry
Making you cry
'Cause I'm only human after all
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
Oh, some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
I'm only human
I make mistakes
I'm only human
That's all it takes
To put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
I'm no prophet or Messiah
Should go looking somewhere higher
I'm only human after all
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
I'm only human
I do what I can
I'm just a man
I do what I can
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

After he finishes I'm in complete shock. "That was beautiful, Steven but why did you ever not want to be a singer? You have such a lovely voice!" I'm grinning ear to ear.
