Lapis's POV: Steven told me to go swimming humans wear this attire that's specifically designed for it. He still hasn't let go of my hand, but I don't complain the slightest. It's a feeling I've loved since the first time our hands touched. It was electricity in a human term going through my gem, it felt so right, so exciting. But at the time he was just a tiny human.
Steven is blushing so much, which brings a smile to my face. He used to think nothing of grabbing another gems hand without a second thought. It's so cute none the less, he's really grown and I can't help but admire it. We all have from these long years of experience of heartache, suffering and tears but here we are in the future.
I take a long, loving glance towards Steven before he makes a sudden stop which makes me run right into his back. He chuckles and apologizes for the sudden hault. "Were here," he points to the building before us.
"Beach City Swimwear?" I repeat outloud.
"Yeah! This is where we'll find you nice swim clothes or bikinis they're called," Steven says, guiding me inside as I look around at everything.
I glance at the catalog of clothing, ranging from swim suits to bikinis.
"See anything that catches your eye?" Steven asks with a gentle smile.
"Hmmm," I glance at all bikinis, some being one pieces to two pieces. A few catch my eye.

A black bikini set with tiny rubies encrusted on the bottom and top, it looks absolutely gorgeous and I bet Steven would love it on me hehe. Then there's one more that catches my eyes.

A dark blue, kinda ocean colored. It almost screams me, but the dark Blue just reminds me of... Yeah I think I'll go with the other one. I take the red and black bikini off the hanger, "where do I go to change?" I ask Steven as he points to a door next to me labeled "changing room"
I thank him and walk inside, closing the door behind me. Putting the bikini on a hangar in front of me I glance at myself in the mirror. When I think about it I don't have many human female features. Maybe I should change myself a bit, not too much though I may love Steven but I won't completely modify my body for him. (message to every girl that has tried to change themselves for a person, instead of staying who you truly are)
My gem glows as I remove my clothes and begin shapeshifting my body into a more femuine way. Breasts grow onto my chest and underneath I form a female reproductive organ. Now I look at myself and I'm not much different though I compliment my curves a lot more. I grab the bikini and slip on the top, tying the back and clipping it. Then I slip on the bottom, it feels comfortable.
Something feels missing though as I gaze at myself in the mirror. Then something clicks, I form a black cover to drape over my body like a robe. I hope Steven likes it.
Steven's POV: I'm sitting outside of the changing room waiting for Lapis. This was going to be so much fun for us to do for hanging out. But my mind decides to take a different course. I begin imagining Lapis in a bikini, her loving smile ever so present on her face. My cheeks begin to grow on fire, get those thoughts out of your head she's your friend.
"I'm ready Steven," Lapis calls out from the other side of the door.
Grinning I wait in anticipation. "Let's see it!"
The door to the changing room and out she comes. My heart skips a beat, my breath is caught... I... I'm completely speechless. She looked absolutely beautiful, standing there in front of me. Lapis giggles at my expression, "do you like it?"
"U-um," I stutter out my words, trying my best to make a coherent response. "Y-you look absolutely amazing," I finally spit out of my mouth.
She giggles with a grin which only makes my blush darker. "Aww, thanks Steven I was hoping you liked it!" Lapis then goes back into the changing room to put her original clothes back on. She soon comes out, smiling, "I found the one I want."
"That's good, I'll pay for it no worries," I grin, taking the bikini to the cashier.
"Buying a lovely bikini for your girlfriend huh?" The lady at the cash register giggles as my face goes red hot.
"N-no! we're just friends so I'm being nice and getting this for her to swim," I retort back.
"Whatever you say," She giggles with a smirk and hands me a bag with the bikini in it.
We walk out of the store, my face is beat red. Why does every person need to embarrass me!?
"Are you okay, Steven?" Lapis asks in concern, her hands feeling my face. "You're not getting are you?"
I just laugh it off with my signature smile. "I'm fine Lapis, now let's go swimming shall we?"
"Okay!" Lapis giggles with a smile.
Soon enough we make it back to the beach. I set the bag down as Lapis leans down to grab it. "I'll go get changed into my swim trunks, brb" I say before rushing up to the temple, closing the door behind me. Luckily the gems weren't around which was a huge relief. I go upstairs and pull out black swim trunks as I take off the rest of my other clothes.
"Okay, all ready to go," I grin, admiring myself in the mirror. I really have grown from a chubby little boy into a man. Finishing up, I walk back downstairs when I'm met with all the other gems there as I mentally facepalm for taking too long.
"You going out swimming with Lapis?" Pearl asks.
"Yeah, why?" I ask, raising a brow in confusion.
Amethyst smirks, "you mean his girlfriend, like come on Steven it's clear you guys got the hots for each other. All of us see it."
Before I'm able to respond back in denial Garnet cuts me off.
"As being a fusion made of love Steven, I can tell you with most certainty that you and Lapis are in love with another," She smiles.
I sigh in defeat and think back to so many moments we had together. Her look of glee when I could hear her inside that monster, the hugs, the laughs. Her beautiful voice that I could drown in for an eternity. All these thoughts of her came surging through, I couldn't deny it anymore.
I was in love with Lapis Lazuli.
