It's been two weeks since we first came to Kakariko Village. Since then, I've stayed by Zelda's side the whole time, protecting her. The only times that I've slept was when I completely passed out. Even after two weeks, I continued to blame myself for the condition that Zelda was in. As my eyes shifted from Zelda to the Master Sword, I was reminded again of the events that had taken place. I couldn't escape this reoccurring nightmare. I looked back at Zelda, she seemed so peaceful and beautiful, despite the current circumstances. No Link. You are supposed to protect her and that is all. I put my hand under one of hers and the other on top. "I will do whatever it takes to protect you even if that means putting my life at risk." Impa entered the room as I finished my sentence. I quickly pulled my hands away from Zelda's as my face became warm and slowly turned pink with embarrassment. She silently sat down next to me. Several minutes passed before any words were exchanged. Impa broke the silence. "Link, you need to take a break. I'll stay here with her until you get back." I thought about it for a bit then nodded. As I stood up, I placed the Master Sword in its sheath and onto my back. Once I left the room and the door closed behind me, I stopped. Where do I go? What do I do? I began walking towards the stable, feeling a bit guilty. Epona and I hadn't seen each other for a while. I mounted her and headed out of the village.
