On the verge of tears, all I could get out was "oh". If Link could move on, then I need to as well. Like I had told Midna, there's no sense in getting caught up in the past because it can't be changed. I quickly stood up before I could start crying. "We should get back." He nodded then we headed back into the village. For the rest of the morning, I avoided Link. It had become obvious to me that my feelings for him were a lot stronger than I thought. However, it didn't matter what I felt because he had feelings for someone else. As the sun began to set, I headed back to the hill that Link and I had chatted that morning. I didn't bother telling anyone that I had left. I didn't want anyone to feel forced to be my chaperone. Although, before I left, I did make the conscious choice to bring a small weapon with me, just in case. As I sat on the hill, I looked out into the distance. Despite the looming red clouds over the castle, the kingdom was still beautiful. *Sigh* Hopefully Ganon can be defeated soon, for the sake of the entire kingdom. As I began to stand up, I heard a noise from behind me. I quickly turned around and pulled out my weapon secretly hoping that it wasn't a monster. My fear turned into panic as I realized who it was.
