As Zelda and I returned from our chat, I went back to the inn to check on Marin. She was waiting for me outside. "So, what was that all about?" "Oh, nothing." She could tell that I was lying but she didn't say anything. She stood up and walked towards me. I held out my hand and she took it. Then we began walking around the village together. Around mid-afternoon, we headed back towards Impa's house. I walked up to the door and knocked but no one answered. Ok, that's a bit strange. I knocked again and finally, she answered the door. "Link, we've got a problem." She told me as she literally pulled me into the house. I just responded with a confusing look. "Have you seen Zelda recently? I haven't been able to find her all day." "I spoke with her this morning." I could tell she was concerned as she started to pace back and forth. Marin spoke up. "Link and I can go look for her. You should stay here in case she returns." Then she looked at me. "I can check the village. Why don't you check the outskirts?" I nodded, kissed her, then left. The place that we talked this morning might be a good start. As I approached the entrance of the village, I could see her sitting on the hill. Since she seemed upset earlier, I didn't think that running up to her was a good idea. I still had to move a bit faster than walking speed so that we could get back into the village by nightfall. Once I came within a few feet of her, my head suddenly developed a gigantic pain that was physically hurtful. I tried to ignore it and just focus on reaching Zelda but it continued to get stronger until everything went black.

A girl with long golden hair wearing all white stood a few feet away with her back to me. She spoke in a strangely calm tone. "Link, before I say another word, I feel like I owe you an apology." She seemed very hesitant about what she should say next. "I..I used you. Although it may have been well-intentioned, it doesn't mean it's right.. And it doesn't excuse my actions. I'm so sorry for the way I had to involve you in this." She was then suddenly encased in what looked to be amber. Then, almost instinctively, I ran towards her to try to save her. I began hitting the encasement in desperation. Then she spoke to me for the final time. "While it's true that I am Hylia reborn, I'm still my father's daughter and your friend...I'm still your Zelda. This time, when all of this is over, will you come to wake me up?" Everything soon went dark.
