As night was approaching, I headed to the stable to get Epona. I mounted her and we headed out. Hateno Village wasn't very far from Kakariko Village but the road that went between the two made it feel long. I knew we were getting close to Hateno Village when I noticed lights on the hill in the distance. In the short amount of time that I had before I'd see Aryll, I thought of how I should explain the situation to her. No matter how I say it I'm sure she'll understand. When I could see our house, I noticed that the lights were still on. I put Epona in the small stable next to our house then headed for the door. I opened it as quietly as possible. Aryll was sitting at the kitchen table with a book. "Aryll, it's late why are you up?" "Link!" She jumped. "It's good to see you but why are you back early and at midnight?" I gave her a hug in order to avoid answering the question. "So... why are you back? It's only been a few days. I thought you said you'd be gone for a week." I took a second then spoke. "Well, something has come up." She looked at me with concern. "Did something happen?" "Well, yes and no." My answer confused her. "Tomorrow, Impa, Marin, Zelda and I are going to face Ganon and take back Hyrule." I gave her a minute to take it in. "And I want you to join us." She perked up. "Good cause there's no way I'm letting you face that thing without me by your side." I sat down next to her and looked her in the eye. "I know you want to help but promise me, Aryll, that you'll be careful. Don't over-exhaust yourself. If you feel like you can't fight anymore, please leave. I don't want you getting hurt." She nodded. "I want you to know that I have your back until the end of the line Link." She completely ignored what I just said didn't she. I stood up. "We should get some rest. We have a long journey and a tough battle ahead." I took my boots off then headed upstairs. Once I got situated in my bed, I heard Aryll call me. "Goodnight, big brother!" I laughed a little then hollered back. "Goodnight, Aryll."
The next morning, I walked downstairs to see Aryll wearing orange shorts, a white shirt with a small green coat on top, and boots that were taller than her knees. Her hair was in two small braids that rested on each of her shoulders. I cleaned the whole house and had never come across this outfit. "Where'd you find that?" "In the closet. I think it was moms." "Huh, it's definitely colorful." I joked. "I also found these and I think I'm going to bring them with me." She said as she held up two crossbows. I didn't know what to say and I knew I couldn't talk her into leaving them here. I walked outside to get Epona ready. Then Aryll joined us and we set out for Hyrule Field.
