As Impa and I were about to leave, we heard a knock at the door. Impa answered it. "Come on in guys!" I remained silent as they came inside. She spoke again. "Today's the day we face Ganon. However, we don't have an attack plan." Marin spoke up. "Well, we seem to be a bit short-handed. Even just one more person would help us." She looked at Link. He must have known who she was referring to because he audibly responded. "No." "Link, please. I know you don't want to risk losing her again and I know that she's young in comparison to all of us but we need all the help we can get." He sighed, waited a few seconds then went outside. Marin called after him. "Link, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" Impa stopped her just before she went out the door. "You're asking him to make a huge decision. He needs a few minutes." Marin went from guilty to mad as Impa finished talking. Then the two of them started arguing. Since they were distracted, I slipped out the door without being noticed. I looked around for Link only to notice that he was sitting on the roof with his knees tight to his chest. I climbed up the nearby tree and onto the roof. "You know that this is a terrible place to hide." He didn't respond or even acknowledge me. He just set his head down on his knees. I carefully walked over to him and sat down next to him. I didn't try to talk to him again. I knew that my presence was all he needed to feel some sort of reassurance. He scooted closer to me then looked me in the eye. His eyes were red and filled with tears. It was obvious that he was conflicted over the proposed idea. He looked like he wanted to speak but couldn't find the right words. I shifted my body towards his and gave him a well-needed hug. He rested his head on my shoulder as I tried to comfort him in any way I could. After a few minutes, he backed away causing the moment to end. He took his sleeve and brought it to his eyes, wiping away the remaining tears. He quietly spoke. "I'm sorry and thank you." I gave him a small smile. "We should probably get back to them to discuss our game plan." He nodded as we both stood up. When we got to the edge of the house, he climbed down the tree first. Then it was my turn. On my way down, I missed one of the tree branches and fell. I closed my eyes ready to embrace the ground. Instead of feeling pain, I felt the arms of someone. I opened my eyes and saw Link. Of course, Link caught me. We locked eyes for what felt like forever before he lowered one of his arms, allowing me to stand on my own two feet. I felt my face turning bright pink.  Why do I still have a crush on him? I thought I had accepted that we can't be together.  We rejoined Impa and Marin inside the house only to notice that they had given each other the silent treatment. "I know you two are mad but we need to come up with a plan of attack." They both turned to look at me and nodded.

Our plan seemed pretty good. Impa, Marin, and I would go to Hyrule Field and scout out the situation. Link would be joining us a little while later with his sister, Aryll. Then, together, we would attack and defeat Ganon. Well, that's what the simplified version of the plan was.

I laid in bed and tried to sleep but I couldn't. I stared at the ceiling and thought about our plan. What if something goes wrong? What if we don't beat Ganon?  I reassured myself that the five of us were capable of saving Hyrule once and for all. I turned to my side and closed my eyes, eventually drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, I headed to the stable to retrieve Storm. Luckily, the people running the stable were kind enough to take care of him while I was away. I noticed that Epona was gone. Well, I guess Link left last night.  I approached Storm and placed my hand on his head. "It's been a long time hasn't it?" He happily neighed back. I smiled as I began to mount him. Since Impa, Marin, and I were leaving together, we decided to meet just outside the village entrance. Impa had let someone borrow her horse so I offered to let her ride on Storm with me. I approached her house right as she came outside. "Are you ready?" I asked as I offered my hand to her. "As I'll ever be." She responded as she took my hand and boosted herself onto Storm. Then we headed towards the entrance of the village. When we finally reached the end of the village, we saw Marin and her horse waiting for us. We rode up next to them. Marin turned and asked, "Are you sure about this?" "Absolutely, Hyrule has been under Ganon's wrath for almost two decades. Revenge is well overdue." She gave me a small nod then we began our journey to Hyrule Field.
