Zelda's been in a coma for a little over a year now and there's not a single day that goes by that I don't think about her or what happened. Every day, since my strange nightmare occurred, I've been trying everything I can to get her back. However, I couldn't do much for the first six months. It took me about two months to recover and another four months to teach myself how to walk again. Marin stayed by my side the entire time. She didn't want to risk my safety again, especially after the Yiga Clan had attacked me, so she decided to move in with me and we eventually started dating. She also reunited my sister and I. A month after I recovered and without my knowledge, Marin had asked the entire family to stop by. Aryll's adoptive parents recognized me almost instantly and spent the entire afternoon with Marin and me. Before they left, they asked me if I wanted to be her legal guardian. Before I could say a word, Marin accepted on my behalf. So, I just gave them a nod. I still can't believe that we've been under the same roof for almost five months. It's very strange to live in a house with two young women. Luckily for me, Marin and Aryll get along like they're best friends.

Marin and I were planning on returning to Kakariko Village today. Unfortunately, this was a well overdue visit. I walked upstairs and opened the chest that I had placed the Master Sword in almost a year ago. It felt like being reunited with an old friend. Since it was already in its sheath, I placed it on my back. I also grabbed a shield that I stored away. Before I left the house, I hugged Aryll goodbye. Once the hug ended, she looked me dead in the eye. "Please, try not to get hurt." "I will, I promise." She then grabbed my arm as I tried to turn around. "No, I'm serious Link. I can't lose you again after not knowing you for 14 years." I went in to give her another hug. "I can't lose you either but you don't have to worry. If anything happens, my knight in shining armor will save me." I told her, basically yelling the last sentence but I had done it on purpose. "I heard that!" Marin yelled from somewhere in the house. Aryll and I laughed. Marin yelled again "I'll be out in a few minutes Link!" I then went outside to get Epona ready. When I was done, I mounted her, then rode her to the front to wait for Marin. "Are you coming, Marin?" I yelled as she walked out the front door, closing it behind her. "You know for a man of very few words you sure are loud." I laughed. I extended my hand to help her onto Epona. She grabbed my hand and I pulled her up. I turned my head. "Ready?" "Yep, let's go." Then Epona, Marin, and I took off for Kakariko Village.
