Love is pain.

It's like dynamite linked to a fuse,

Ever burning,
Ever waiting.
Ever creating anxiety to those in the relationship.

Expecially for Y/N.

The girl used to believe in love. She saw it in her everyday life with her mother and father. Sweet words to one another and promises to love and cherish. But it fades.

And when it fades people change,
Some for the better.
Some for the worst.

If someone cheats on their significant other with someone else, the person who was cheated on will most likely change for the better. Learn from their mistakes, and move away from the toxic person.

But if the the couple is stripped away from each other by pure force, could be rules they had to applied, their parents or death. They are going to change for the worse, take out the ever-growing hatred on their loved ones and become the toxic person.

Her mother changed for the worst.

Y/N saw the love fade in her parents with her own eyes, the sweet words to one another were scarce and the promise to love and cherish looked like a lie.

When she tried asking her mother after the pass of her father what went wrong, she described the relationship as force. She described how he was stripped away from her, by the gods in the sky that decided to let those kids play with matches near the fields. Fires spread.

Y/N's mother told her the story of their love, how they used to hide from her over baring parents and travel to the flower forest and whisper sweet nothings to each other. But that's all they were, false hope of finally being together.

And when they had Y/N, their parents decided to just let them be together. But it's like the god of the sky's didn't agree.

Love gets stripped away with pain left in the heart.

That's how love is.

So Y/N blocked herself away from it, ignoring the eyes of the people who liked her in school. Her mission was to be single her whole life, her personal goal.

Y/N used to believe in soulmates, seeing her parents so happy. She thought of what her lover would look like. Imagining the perfect person that she know realises doesn't exist. Making the perfect person she would never be with.
The young girl believed her parents were soulmates, believing that when you find your soulmate you will know. And nothing will happen to either of you.

But life is also pain.

So Y/N also broke away from that thought, whenever her mother asked her about it. Seeing as she always talked about that person when she was young. Y/N responded with anger, the anger she bottled up from her fathers death. The anger that should be directed to those children.

Her mother even vowed to never leave him. That was her vows at the little wedding they held.

But love is pain. Love hurts in the worse ways possible.

Y/N followed her dream boy, always having the mental image of that imaginary boy engraved in her mind. Some of her memories was a blur from when she was young. One thing engraved in her mind to this day was this one day.

She was 10 years old. Wandering around the town she lived it by herself, it was common to see children in school clothes walking unaccompanied by adults among the streets and paths. She just said goodbye to Wilbur and Techno after walking most of the way with them, the two being protective as always.

Y/N skipped down the streets, her pleated skirt swaying as she walked on the concrete and to her home, which was a while away. Her father told her he would meet her halfway, which is a couple more blocks down the winding roads.

She saw her school friends also walking the same way, but keeping to her self and carried on walking the side she was on.

Then she bumped into someone from not looking where she was going, falling onto the floor and closing her eyes when she hit it.
"I'm sorry" She mumbled opening her eyes to see someone the same age reaching out their hand to help her up.

Y/N gladly accepted, putting her hand into his as he used his strength to pull her up to her feet, she of course helped him.
Then she noticed the crown that was situated on his blonde head of hair, quickly bowing like her father had taught her to royals. The boy chuckled.

"It's alright, are you okay?" The Prince asked, his emerald eyes looking like he cared.
She hummed in aprovement, before hearing a hurried voice come behind her. As she turned she saw a maid ushering him away, saying he would be late.

She didn't get his name.

And that's all she would think about for years apon years, until it was shifted to the back of her mind with the new responsibility of the crown.

That was when she realises love was pain. And love was dead.

Love was pain.
And she doesn't understand why her views have changed.

Wanted to do a different approach to my writing, this is more of a filler type chapter. Next one is going to house fluff and more x reader type stuff.

This is just a little back story type thing
