take her to the moon | paubaya part 2
dedicated to gueneverey for requesting a part two even though I actually want to write a part two I just don't know if y'all liked paubaya. It has been a long time since you last saw Draco Malfoy and his beautiful gray eyes. It has been exactly three years since you left the Malfoy Manor to start your own life, to start all over again. You bought your own muggle apartment in London, and ever since you left Draco Malfoy, your life only revolved around trying to heal yourself, work, and you staying inside your apartment. You never really leave the apartment because you don't want to bump into him. Or at least expose yourself to the wizarding world and go to the places that would remind you of Draco Malfoy like Diagon Alley, a place where you two would spend some time together before, a place where he would usually take you to dates when you two were outside of Hogwarts, a place where the two of you would spend some time healing from the war. You were still healing from the heart break that came in putting Draco Malfoy's happiness first than your own.
Every night, while laying in bed, getting ready to sleep is one of the hardest times because that was when you can feel your heart break into a million pieces, as if you were cursed to experience the pain every single night, before you rest from your long day from work. As you lay down, and stare at the ceiling, all your mind is thinking about is how you miss him so much. Being around him was something you want to experience again, kissing his soft lips was something you want to do again, and loving him was something you will always do. When you start thinking about this, tears would start falling down your eyes and and little did you know you would start shaking as your heart break into a million pieces again.
What makes you cry the most at night is the feeling of Draco Malfoy going back to you even if you know that he won't go back to you. The small gleam of hope that your heart is holding on to even though your mind would tell your heart that he won't come back, that he was already happy with Astoria. No matter what you do, you still feel him, feel him coming back to you even if he never will.
To calm yourself down, you would close your eyes and picture his eyes, picture him looking at you the way he always did. There was still love in his beautiful gray eyes. You would try and imagine the part of him that you loved so much, his eyes. And as you imagine this, you start falling asleep and the next day is another day to experience the pain.
You wanted to move on so bad, but you didn't know that letting go would be this hard, that missing him would be this painful, and wishing for his happiness above yours will result to you being miserable.
Three years after you have to let him go, you decided to go out of your muggle apartment and go to Diagon Alley, the one place you swore to Merlin that you would avoid, the only place that you don't want to go back to. But you found yourself in Diagon Alley, eating ice cream from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, and watching some Hogwarts Students shop for their school supplies because September first is approaching soon. You remember you days as a Hogwarts Student. It was simpler times, much better times and you wished you could just stay there, where times were beautiful, that you have nothing to be sad about except exams, the times where the only pain you'd ever feel was when someone would accidentally hit a spell on you during practical lessons in Defense Against the Dark Arts or when you fall off your broom when you are practicing or playing Quidditch. The simpler times, better times.
