I haven't seen Draco Malfoy all day, and I missed that annoying ferret.
It was Saturday, and I was sure that he was in the Quidditch Pitch, practicing for the upcoming match of Slytherin versus Gryffindor. The Slytherin Team is very pressured to defeat the Gryffindor Team because of Harry Potter, their seeker. One way that they could actually win is if Draco catches the snitch, or if they scored 150 points or more, as long as they are leading in points despite Potter catching the snitch.
Draco is a very talented seeker to the point that nobody could beat him, except for Harry Potter. So the team decided to practice harder every Saturday before the match, and this was one of those Saturdays when the Slytherin team would practice the entire day, only taking small breaks in between for water breaks, and for meals like breakfast and lunch.
That is why I haven't seen Draco all day.
I was sick for a few days that is why I missed a lot of lessons and I have to catch up. Draco and his friend, Blaise Zabini were kind enough to lend me their notes, though it would've been better if they explained the procedures to me. I appreciated their efforts in writing their notes neatly for me to understand, so I used it in studying the night before. I stayed up late until 2AM, leaving me as the only soul alive and awake at that hour inside the common room. Draco tried to stay up with me until 12 midnight, but he said that he has to wake up early the next day for their Quidditch practice which was alright for me. I understand him. Quidditch means a lot to him and his other teammates, so I just let him do his thing. Besides, I can study by myself, though it would only take me a long time to understand the lesson clearly.
And it did. It took me until 2AM to understand the lesson. I was supposed to stay up even more late, but my eyes are giving up on me, and my head is already aching. I care about my health, so I decided to call it a night.
When I woke up that morning, I was so late for breakfast that there are only a handful of people in the Great Hall, all were either at Hogsmeade, in the library, or watching Slytherin's practice at the Quidditch pitch. When I saw how lonely the Great Hall was, I just returned to the Slytherin common room and decided to look for either Blaise Zabini, or Pansy Parkinson to help me catch up with the lessons.
Fortunately, I saw Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass on my way to the common room. They greeted me, and asked me if I was okay because I wasn't at breakfast. I told them that I was alright, and that I only overslept because I slept late reading the potions book for me to understand the lesson so I could catch up.
"I was supposed to study with Draco because he said that he would explain things to me, but he slept early because of the Quidditch Practice that they have today."
"Oh yeah, the Slytherin team is really determined to beat Gryffindor, they've been practicing so hard lately." Daphne said, whilst we walk back to the common room.
"Oh, speaking of Draco, he told me that if I saw you, he said that his practice would end before dinner, and he wants to see you to help you with your potions." Pansy said, linking her arms around mine. "He said that he felt guilty that he didn't help you last night, so he said that you should meet him at his dorm room after dinner."
"Oh, okay." I said, not knowing what to say. Pansy only smiled at me, and both Daphne and Pansy engaged in a conversation that I didn't understand, so I just silently daydreamed about what I would do today. As planned, I would just study some more potions, the lessons that I didn't study about last night, and I would read some of the lessons and notes that I missed in Astronomy.
