i really  (̶d̶o̶n̶'t̶)̶  like you

Often times when you like someone, its either you tell them how you feel about them, or keep your feelings to yourself because of the fear of being rejected. If you knew that they like you too, you would wait for them to be the first one to do the first move. If you are seeing signals from them that they like you too, you would wait for them to ask you to a Hogsmeade date to get to know the other. When you can sense that someone is looking at you, no, more like staring at you during classes, you would be extra nice to them in the hopes of them manning up and do the first move.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the lady doing the first move. It's just that you have this intense fear of being rejected or you assuming too much that you get the wrong signals and end up embarrassing yourself.

But there was this one boy who at first you didn't care about, but with all the teasing and complements that he would give you and the mixed signals, he drove you crazy, with all his smirk and winks in the corridor whenever he walk passed you, all the teasing and complements that he would tell you, and the fact that he would deny his feelings for you. Here's the full story.

On your fifth year, you basically gave up on love.

Its not that you don't believe in love anymore. You just accepted the fact that you are too young to experience a romantic kind of love, and that if it is really meant for you, you won't go looking for it for love will come looking for you.

You stopped dating guys, you stopped having crushes, and you stopped flirting with other guys. Instead, you vowed to your self that you will focus on your studies that year, for you knew that it will be a hard year for you because of the OWLs. You and your friends would spend all your free time together, studying in the library or in your common room. Sometimes, your teachers would give you piles and piles of homework that you don't really have much time to socialize with your other classmates but you only talk to your friends and sometimes to your seatmates in classes or your partners if there is an activity that would require you to talk to your other classmates.

Your friends are worried that your social life will plummet because of your lack of socializing and you being so focused with your studies that when they were invited in a party that the Slytherin house is hosting, they decided to take you as well.

"Nope, I am not attending that party." you declared. You weren't really in the mood for socializing. You don't know what happened with you and why you didn't like talking to other people, but there are days when you just don't feel like talking, you don't feel like telling stories, or being around people. It's a normal human feeling.

"But you also need to interact with other people, you still need to make friends or you'll love loneliness and it would be hard for you to get away from it." Priscella said. She's one of the friends that you look up to because of how smart and independent she is. She is her own self and she is proud to be different from others. She's also very responsible and organized and you wished to be as organized as her in life.

"That's true. It is very dangerous to always be by yourself because you'll get used to it. Trust me, I know." River said. He's also smart and creative. He loves to be alone and he doesn't speak much. But he's always there to listen to you no matter what.

"Is that party even safe? Are teachers aware of this party that the Slytherin house is hosting?"

"I heard some teachers would be attending it to chaperone or something." Jayden said. "C'mon, Y/N. You can always be with us in the party, we won't leave you alone."
