The Italian born Vincenzo Cartelli, or Vinny for short, had a poor life growing up. His family didn't have much money when they moved to New York and couldn't pay for food, school, and many other necessities, but regardless they had some what of a good life. Vinny started working as a child to help make more money for his family, but the money he made wasn't much and it wasn't enough.

Vinny was sick and tired of being seen as a nobody and wanted to be somebody that you would have to know and respect.

Vincenzo's wish was answered when he joined the mafia and became what you would called an Enforcer, or a business collector of the Mob. He never wanted to be a Big Boss of the House or anything like that at all.

Though in Hell he'd grew to accept the role out of sheer reputation and skill with a gun.

Even though Vincenzo Cartelli is an Enforcer for the Mob he would never hesitate to pull a gun out if he suspects foul play. However, that doesn't mean he didn't have some morals.

1. Never kill people who have nothing to do with the Mob.

2. Always try to talk things out before having to put bullet holes into someone's skull.

3. Never do a job that has anything to do with drugs.

Vinny believes that drugs are the equivalent to hemlock poison and will kill you faster than a bullet to the head.

In 1925 Vincenzo Cartelli hatched a plan with a group of friends for a Bank heist. The big ticket heist that would give him enough money for himself, his friends, and for his family to be set for life. The dreams of possible retirement and starting a family of his own, but that never happened...

After they got the money—Vinny was shot in the back by one of his 'friends'.

He can't remember who shot him, all he does remember is that they left him for dead and took the money.

When Vincenzo arrived in Hell he did what he does best by being the solo Enforcer for the criminal underground of Hell. Seemingly overnight he struck a sense of fear in the mafia. Ultimately his notoriety among the shady underground caught the attention of the biggest boss of them all.

The Head Honcho of Hell, none other than the King of Hell himself, Lucifer Magne.

Lucifer hired Vinny to make sure that Hell's mob bosses stay in line and to keep tabs on Draegan's black-market dealings within the Ring of Pride.

Lucifer handles the Overlords of Hell and Vincenzo handles Hell's Mafia.

Vincenzo and Lucifer respect one another and act more like a pair old friends...similar to Alastor and Husk, but more 'respectfully' no offense to Husk.

In Hell Vincenzo is known by the title: The Big Bad Wolf of Hell.

The mocking title: Lucifer's Pet Wolf
