Vaggie woke up and groaned as she sat up in a bed that she seriously hope was washed at least fifty times before she was placed on it.

"Urgh...please tell me the sheets were washed before you guys put me on this bed..."

"VAGGIE!" Charlie immediately enveloped her in a hug as Alastor sat down with a cup of water in hand.

She felt Alastor's hand on her pulse as if checking to make sure she was breathing alright. Likely a reflex of his past—possibly even doing so to make sure his victims were actually dead. She turned to his worried gaze and smirked softly.

"And someone had to help you out of that torture trap."

Alastor handed her the water. "I would've preferred it to be at my expense and not yours my dear. Vox is as sadistic as me and I was foolish to assume otherwise...I only knew him as an idiot suffering from the occasional temper tantrums. It was all fistfights and I never had the opportunity of getting trapped like that before by him. I'm glad I had intervened for the sake of Ms. Charlotte. At least he'll live after torturing me. If it had been Charlotte well...Lucifer himself would bring down that Angelic Spear on Vox's head. He should count himself lucky for my mercy."

He stared at Vaggie's bandaged stomach and frowned. "He's an idiot, but this...this was a side I've yet to see until now. He wasn't messing around. You got lucky Vagatha I doubt he would've stopped there had you not immediately collapsed."

Vaggie gulped. "I thought I could take it, at least long enough to cut the wires that imprisoned you..."

"You're fearless but not powerful enough to go against him in a fight. Seviathan might've been born to a high ranking Hellborn family but he's just a little tadpole that just got his legs as compared to the Overlords."

"Did you just compare yourself to a frog?"

Alastor's eye twitched. "Regardless I'm just happy you're alright. Or else I'm sure that Charlotte would be the one to finish the job instead of her father."

"Whoa now I might not particularly like Vox but I'm against extermination Al."

Everyone was silenced when they heard the radio static emanating around them.

Alastor's eyes widened. "Josephine..."

Everyone was listening to Josephine's broadcasting and Husk immediately turned on the TV in the room to the News. They all watched the battle of taunting words and the show of skill in faded breath.

Alastor smiled a love struck grin over watching her clip Valentino's wings of their flight with her mother's hairpin knives.

Her aim is deadly.

A sight he's seen firsthand as her partner in crime, and throughout their engagement and short marriage. She's used those knives to pin him to their bedroom wall a few wonderful times...hehehe...ahhhh the memories.
