The next day
Lisa's bedroom

Last night was amazing, Lisa thought. Although it was just a casual thing, she still thought she'd never get to feel like this, not after Jennie has ruined her feelings and views about love. She didn't have anything against Jennie at that point, completely accepting the fact that she now had Ten as her lover. And that Lisa had Irene if she wanted to.

Lisa's phone suddenly chimed.

Sorn: I'm sorry, Lisa. Granny and I will be spending the holidays in Thailand. You can come with us, you know. But I know you don't really like hanging around with them.

Lisa knew Sorn and her Grandma Doris had to spend their holidays with their religious family, relatives Lisa was not really fond of. They still had not accepted the fact that Lisa was Lisa. And the thai wouldn't want to spend her Christmas explaining to them that they couldn't change her no matter what they do or say for that matter.

Lisa would rather choose to spend her holidays in the apartment alone, just like last year and the year before that. Irene would be going home to her mother in Florida so Lisa would definitely miss her, after last night.

Sending a reply, Lisa went back to lay on her bed and thought about nothing else but Irene. Or so she tried.

Same day, evening
Chahee's apartment

Lisa and Jennie decided to watch a movie on Netflix in the living room. The thai chose to sit on the edge of the couch, a bit too far from Jennie. It was a reasonable amount of space so that the brunette couldn't place her legs on Lisa's thighs again.

"Why didn't you tell me your book was finally getting published?" Jennie suddenly spoke, just as when the scene from the movie somehow was talking about a certain book.

Lisa glanced nervously at the brunette. She did forget about that. Everything just happened so fast with Irene. "I... I couldn't find the time, really.. And I just forgot.."

"I mean, I'm still your friend, right?" Jennie asked, now staring at her. "What happened that one night had nothing to do with this, right?"

"What? No, of course not,, Jen, you're still my friend.."

"Then, why did I only find this out from Jisoo? Lisa, from Jisoo.." Jennie was exasperated. The thai could tell.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry.. I just finished the book last Friday.. and then the date happened.. and I was supposed to tell you today.."

"Whatever, congrats anyway," Jennie said, averting her attention back at the tv. "So does Irene know?"

Lisa didn't lie. "I told her."

"When?" It was more of a demand rather than a question. Lisa was really bothered. Why did the brunette sound so furious when she had no right to be.

"Last Friday.. umm.. we saw each other in the grocery store while buying groceries."

"And she knew first before me??"

"What? Well, I saw her first..."

"I don't get you, I'm your friend first.."

Lisa was bewildered. "Well, I certainly don't get why you're mad at something so petty."

"This is not petty. Lisa, it's a big part of your life. And you're not sharing it with me. It's like we're not that close," Jennie said. "You're avoiding me since that night."

So Jennie was still bothered by what they both did. Lisa's memories flashed back inside her head as if they only happened yesterday. And Lisa's progress on her plan to move on was now back to zero.
