The next day, morning
Chahee's apartmentA clean empty kitchen counter greeted Lisa the following day. She expected Jennie had already figured out that her efforts were only wasted by the Thai.
Lisa should have been just honest in the first place and could have had told her the truth. Hurting someone's feelings was the last thing the redhead wanted to do.
As what Lisa learned from her past was that honesty can save a whole lot of pain down the road. But the Thai was a lost cause when it came to Jennie.

Days later, afternoon
Professor Sungri's classroom, Advanced Creative WritingLisa's classmates had already left the room. Waiting nervously on her seat, the Thai watched Professor Sungri turned one page after another, reading through the draft she made. Although their homework was to do another two chapters, Lisa had already made twenty. It was still a draft in progress. She was still editing and re-editing the whole thing. But she wanted her Professor's comments about it.
"Impressive," Professor Sungri suddenly uttered after he had finished reading the last page. "This has completely taken my attention."
The Thai couldn't stop herself from smiling. "Thank you, well, it's still not finished though, I'm barely halfway through," Lisa nervously rambled on.
"This is good, Miss Manoban." Professor Sungri arranged the papers neatly on his desk. "This has potential. Whatever mood you're having right now, keep at it."
Lisa then wondered if her mood on writing kept her from forgiving Jennie on what she did.
"We have a Writers' program this weekend," he continued as Lisa slowly stood and gathered her things. "There are some notable authors and publishers I know in the event. If you wanted to come, I could introduce you to some and give them a few favors on your draft manuscript."
Lisa froze on her spot. "Really? You'd do that for me?"
Professor Sungri smiled. "Of course. I can already tell writing is in your blood. And I am your teacher, your mentor. It's my responsibility to help those in dire need."
The Thai couldn't contain her happiness. She'd really like that. Then her smile immediately dropped when she remembered what this weekend was.
"If you want, you can invite someone to go to the event with you," he went on. "I'll send you the details of the program thru your email."

The next day, evening
Blink Arcade, YG mallWriters' program. This weekend. This weekend. Lisa's mind was filled with what Professor Sungri had said. The only problem was, besides that she didn't have a date, this weekend would also be her parents' death anniversary from the car crash.
One thing the Thai couldn't bear was that she wasn't supposed to be happy or celebrating on the day her parents died.
Lisa headed towards her friends in the bowling alley. She was so occupied with her thoughts that she didn't even notice Jennie was chatting up with Rosé by the shoe counter. It was only until they're a few feet close when the Thai felt her presence.
Jennie gave a small smile to Lisa then she walked back to her friends who were bowling in the first lane.
"What did you two talk about?" Lisa couldn't help but wonder.
Rosé laughed as she replied, "None of your concern, Lis."
Nodding, Lisa made her way inside the counter and sat beside Taehyung, who was playing on his phone.
