Chapter Nine

The next day, morning
Lisa's bedroom

Lisa woke up feeling like she had one perfect sleep through the night. The body pressed against her felt so soft and warm. So amazing that she wished she could stay like that forever. And then she froze, realizing that the barrier of pillows was completely gone. And Lisa and Jennie were tangled up beneath the sheets.

Jennie's head was rested just on the crook of Lisa's neck and shoulders. The Thai could literally smell the sweet daisies from Jennie's hair that had touched the side of her face.

It was only then that Lisa noticed her arm was around the brunette's waist. With Jennie's lovely arm resting on Lisa's stomach while the brunette's leg was hugging around Lisa's thighs, it would seem apparent that they had been cuddling together against the cold night.

Lisa's heart started to beat abnormally, her chest rising and falling at a fast pace. She thought the small movement would wake the brunette. She calmed herself down and thought about the days she hated Jennie. No, she didn't really hate her. She hated the fact that Jennie would never look at her more than a friend.

To make matters worse, Lisa seemed to be savoring the situation. She could get used to this if fate would only allow her.

Lisa could hear Jennie's faint snore.

Man, she's so cute, Lisa thought. She had it so bad.

Remembering those things they talked about last night made her realize that she really misjudged the brunette. She was just as true and as lost as her, like any normal girl who just wanted to be loved. And that worried Lisa, because the feelings she had for Jennie had intensified every second.

Chahee's voice could be heard outside, announcing that the snow was knee deep already.

Jennie stirred from her sleep. Lisa immediately closed her eyes and pretended she was still fast asleep. The Thai felt Jennie shift beside her as if getting up.

But Jennie slumped back on the Thai's body. She stretched her hand to hug Lisa tighter by the waist and snuggled her head so close to Lisa's neck as she drifted back to sleep. Lisa nervously gulped a lump in her throat. She could literally feel Jennie's warm breathing against her neck.

Did Jennie notice we were cuddling but she just let it happen and slept anyway? Lisa thought. It may seemed like nothing to Jennie. But it was everything to Lisa.

Friday, night
Halloween Party, Fraternity house

Lisa couldn't stop staring at Jennie in her sexy cheerleader uniform. The brunette looked so breathtakingly gorgeous. The short blue-and-white skirt she was sporting revealed her soft looking thighs. Lisa remembered how those felt like against her body a week ago. And she had not gotten over it.

Lisa let the brunette sleep through at least thirty minutes before she got up slowly from the bed, leaving a sleeping Jennie behind. Sadly, the weather turned out fine and Chahee and their visitors had left that day.

But Jennie's scent had lingered on Lisa's bed. And Lisa couldn't get over her.

"What are we drinking tonight, Officer?" Rosé asked, bringing Lisa back to the present time. Rosé was staring at Lisa's police officer outfit with a Stetson hat on her head.

"Just beer," Lisa answered. "Where's Taehyung?"

"Where else? Making out with Jungkook, of course."

Lisa pursed her lips. Taehyung got lucky with Jungkook. While Lisa's Jennie was being smooched up again by Kai. The Thai didn't know if she had gotten into the shorter brunette's head. She thought Jennie had finally found her senses and ended it all with Kai. But maybe Lisa just wanted to see what she wanted to see.
