Pankhuri looked at herself in the mirror with determination. She exactly knew what she was going to do, the thing she had planned.

Escaping from here was her prime motive and she was waiting for this opportunity for so long.

'Pankhuri...shh...have courage you need some money first...go and get it...NOW...' Her inner mind ordered her and she followed.

Since the day she had come here, she was ready to escape. She was sure someday or another day Chintan will have to take her out of here as she has only a few clothes present here so the shopping, after all, she can't spend her entire life with a few pair of clothes and that day she will no matter what, fly away.

Today morning out of nowhere she had got an opportunity a clean opportunity to escape but she just stopped...only god knows why but she stopped.

Pankhuri came out of her thoughts as she heard the door of the walk-in closet open, it was Chintan entering the walk-in to get changed. Thinking it to be a great opportunity she slowly pushed the door open to get back inside the bedroom.

She pushed the door open with a very low creaking sound. The best idea was to peak out first and then only walk out, otherwise, she might land Herself in a very dangerous position.

Gulping down she stepped out and ran towards his wallet while tiptoeing, which was kept on the side table near the bed. She looked towards the walk-in closet to make sure he was still busy with whatever he was doing.

She picked up his wallet and opened it to take out some money she will need later. But before she could take out the money she noticed a picture of a little boy with a man sitting on an armchair. She frowned and looked at it carefully, trying to remember where she had seen the boy previously.

Suddenly the realization dawned upon her it was the same kid she had seen on the unframed picture in Chintan's study. He was sitting with a very good looking suited booted man. The man was wearing a black coat.

'A lawyer...I guess'

Before Pankhuri could think anything else she suddenly heard Chintan call out just from behind her.

'Pankh...'

She froze hearing his voice, her eyes widened and her body turned pale. She felt herself choke on her own saliva. She just didn't know what to do.

'Pankhuri...' Chintan asked in his deep voice while standing right outside the door.

As soon as he had come out after changing his clothes, the first thing he saw was Pankhuri standing by the night side table with her head tilted down as if she was looking at something in her hand, he frowned before calling her out twice which made her body stiff.

Chintan's eyes didn't miss catching her movement. He creased his eyebrows tighter as he slowly walked towards her.

Pankhuri could listen to his footsteps slowly coming closer to her as her eyes stayed fixed on the wallet in her now shaking and cold hands. Her heart beat faster.
