It has been 6 days since the Marriage, Dewans gone to Delhi, missing case of Pankaj Dutta and that unfortunate night.
Everything was known to the people around except for the thing that mattered Pankhuri the most. She could not tell about that night to anyone, not even a single soul because he begged, cried, joined hands in front of her.
But most importantly he blackmailed her. She could not understand what she should do, then that day itself after he left and her family came back she decided she will tell Pallavi about it and went to her house only to find her mourning for her grandfather Pankaj Dutta.
As for right now, she sat in her room alone, thinking about the mistake she made. She should have stopped him, slapped him the first day itself when he crossed his limits, but she let it all happen. She let that man come close to her take her advantage.
Pankhuri laid on the couch by the window, covered herself with the extra sheet as she looked towards her bed trying to sleep.
She hasn't even sat on her bed after that day, she tried to be as away as possible from it. She turned around and looked outside the window as the sun started to show up from behind the darknesses.
The sleep and peace were far away from her eyes and mind.
She sighed as she stretched her arms before getting up. She sat up straight and looked at the floor. She felt low as it has become her new normal.
She no more wanted to go out, no more wanted to study or talk. Her brother noticed her sudden change and even tried asking but she just made an excuse to get rid of the situation.
She with a heavy heart got up and took the towel to get ready. She got ready and came back to her room. She continued with her new normal schedule and that is to just sit by the window, with a book in hands and not reading it.
Suddenly she heard a knock on her door before it opened. She looked towards the door and found her brother peeking out from behind it.
Pankhuri gave him a small smile before giving him space to sit next to her. Vedant came, smiled, and sat next to her.
'How are you...Pakhi' He smiled looking at her.
'What will happen to me Bhai...I am absolutely fine...' Pankhuri replied as she looked away from her brother.
'It doesn't look like that...' Vedant spoke looking at her eyes with dark circles around them, her red runny nose, and most important her new way of behaving with everyone others.
Pankhuri tried to hide away her thoughts and reason by speaking 'why is that so...I am absolutely fit and fine' and she smiled.
'But it doesn't feel so'
'Bhai...Don't worry everything is good' Pankhuri tried reassuring him by putting an effort, with her smile.
'Are you sure'
Pankhuri got irritated by it. She heard him question her again and again. She just snapped back saying 'Bhai, I don't understand what is the problem with you all...why you all keep asking me the same thing First you, then Aaryan, and now again you...I am just getting irritated answering the same questions' with this Pankhuri sighed with frustration, got up, and started to walk out of the room.
Vedant saw this and stopped her by holding her wrist. 'Pankhuri, where are you going' He asked getting up from the couch and looking at her.
