'Pankh...Look who is here...'Neelima's voice echoed around the house, as she welcomed the most awaited guest through the front door with a huge smile adorning her thin lips. Holding onto her excitement Pankhuri was the first person she could think of.
Pankhuri's ears perked as she heard her mother call out for her, she frowned and looked towards the digital clock on her table. 8:47 P.M. it showed. She didn't know someone was coming.
'Who it could be...' A thought crossed her mind, but she didn't respond, simply sitting straight on the chair she previously was sprawled on, she waited after closing the book she was reading. Waited in silence to hear someone's voice from the outside as in to get a clue as to who the person could be.
She waited for a few more moments before finally giving up and slipping out of the chair lazily. Throwing the book softly on her study table, she held her hair in a ponytail, before twirling her hair into a messy bun and walking towards her door, just before she unlocked the door, for once she looked at the tall mirror in the corner of her room, checking her appearance and wrapping the dupatta around her neck before she walking out.
It has been hours since both of them came back from shopping, getting those groceries listed by Neelima was a tedious but simple task, yet Pankhuri found herself to be completely exhausted, maybe it had nothing to do with shopping but with the moments that took place after that. Aryan seemed clear and confident when he stated, he was not coming back, still, not a single part of her body could grasp over it. Her mind talked nonstop, no matter how hard she tried to silence it, there was no winning.
As soon as they had come back home, she had directly stepped into her bedroom closing the door behind her, popping some medicines she had dozed off into deep slumber until a few hours back when she had finally woken up, with no talking and just silence around. Thank God.
And since then she sat in her room, reading books to keep her mind diverted and silenced until now.
Making a quick check on her appearance she stepped out 'Yes maa...' She stopped in her tracks, with half of the words still stuck in her mouth, as her eyes fell on a woman in Saree sitting next to Neelima.
'Oh my god...look at her how grown up she has...' The woman exclaimed in her obnoxiously high-pitched voice grabbing all the attention towards her, as she got up holding the end of her Saree. She took long steps towards with an expression that could even make the vamps of Ekta Kapoor run for their money.
