🐶She didn't know, neither did she remember how long it had been but she was sure it was long enough. A long time since she has appeared in the CET of Arcade Law College (ALC), New Delhi. Her dream college, the college she has always admired, dreamt of being in. Or at least since she has dreamt of being a Lawyer.
It has been a complete 2 months, excruciating long two months, since she has appeared in the CET with just a little preparation, not only her but also Aryan. With a lot of discussion and planning, they had finally decided to appear in the CET without caring about the HUGE fee structure it has. At first as usual, Pankhuri was reluctant about everything, keeping in mind unlike Aryan, she didn't have any savings worth lakhs. Aryan's parents had left him with a fortune enough for his studies.
She was sure even her father will be completely reluctant about that college, but to her surprise, her father pushed her to fill the form and give examinations. And then two months back they had finally appeared in the examination and since then the result was like a blessing for them, which they haven't received yet. The wait was killing her, even while she slept, ate, bathed, did anything the thoughts of her result didn't leave her for even a moment.
Pankhuri sighed deeply as she looked around rubbing her arms warm. It has been nearly an hour since Aryan dropped her off here and went to the market to buy something. Pankhuri rolled her eyes remembering how he had shamelessly first brought her here and then left. And now neither was he replying to any of her texts nor he was receiving her calls.
Pankhuri shook her head in dismay before leaning back comfortably on the bench, she had one leg over the other as she was hugging herself due to the cold breeze. Pankhuri bit her lips while grabbing her phone all of a sudden and refreshing the ALC site once again, just like she has been doing the whole day. The result was supposed to be here by now but guess what Education system gives no fuck to the students. Pankhuri groaned in frustration as she threw her phone carefully back on the wooden bench.
She so much wished she could skip to the time when her results will be out, because not only the harsh breeze was killing her but also the wait, she tucked her hair strand behind her ears as it came loose out of her ponytail. She closed her eyes and plopped her head back on the headrest after hugging herself back to calm her senses down, she was getting really anxious.
Pankhuri tried relaxing taking deep long breaths with closed eyes, unbeknownst to the fact that a pair of familiar brown eyes softly stared at her from far afar. The owner of those eyes just fought the dilemma, of going to her or not.
Every day for these six months the only person who has never left his mind was that woman, that girl sitting right there just a few meters away. For all these six months he wished the decision he took to give her the freedom or to push her away from him because of the words she spoke to him while she was hurt, may turn out to be the correct decision.
That day when he surrendered himself he could only see her face in front of his eyes. The crying and begging face, he knew that day the only way to keep her away from him was to send himself to a place from where he could not forcefully cage her, the way he did last time.
