😊Pankhuri looked at the gift in front of her. As she fought the dilemma of opening the gift or first tell her parents about it.
After fighting with her thoughts for some more time, she finally decided not to open up the box. Even though it was her gift, her father has to know about it.
Pankhuri took a deep breath of frustration. She looked outside the window and got lost in her own world.
Suddenly she heard a phone ringing. Thinking it to be her's, Pankhuri extended her hand towards the stand next to the couch, where her phone was placed.
To her surprise, it was not. She frowned as she couldn't really make out, from where the phone was ringing, if it wasn't hers. Thinking it to be Aryan's she called him.
As nobody was at home, other than them. She thought if it wasn't hers then definitely it has to be his.
Aryan came inside the room while playing a game.
'Hmm...' He hummed without looking at her, busy with his game. He sat next to Pankhuri on the couch.
'Your Phone...Dumbie' Pankhuri commented.
'What...' Aryan replied still busy with his phone.
Pankhuri looked at him frustration as he still was busy with his phone. She whacked him with the back of her palm. And took his phone.
'What...' Suprised with her actions Aryan looked at her.
'Your phone was ringing and you are playing games...'
Pankhuri spoke as the phone had stopped ringing after he came into the room.
Aryan looked at her and denied of his phone ringing. Thinking it to be her illusion she shrugged off. As Aryan leaned back completely on the couch and decided to talk about Chintan, they heard the phone ringing.
They both checked their respective phones. Pankhuri ordered Aryan to check the room as she was with a crepe bandage on the foot.
As Aryan continued to look around, something struck in Pankhuri's mind. She abruptly got up carefully keeping her foot on the floor, she slid towards the other side of the couch still sitting, where the gift was kept.
As she was about to touch the box, the ringing stopped. Aryan and Pankhuri both looked at each other with a frown. Aryan pounced over the box and took it into his possession.
Pankhuri gasped as he jumped in between her and the box.
'What are you doing' She screamed and tried grabbing the gift back. But to her dismay, Aryan pulled himself away from Pankhuri with the gift.
Pankhuri again tried to grab but failed again.
'Aryan...give it back' Pankhuri shouted as she fell back on the couch after another failed try.
'This was gifted to you by that rascal...isn't it' Aryan barked at her face as he kept the gift out of her reach.
'Aryan...his name is Chintan so call him by that only, and yes he has gifted me this...give it back right now' Pankhuri tried grabbing the gift, but Aryan pushed her back on the couch.
'Have you gone mad Pankhuri...you are trying to defend that rascal...I think you forgot, what he had done to you...6 months back'
Aryan screamed as he can't believe and stand the fact of Pankhuri trying to defend him or his name.
