Abruptly getting up from her sleep Pankhuri looked around. She noticed how dark the room was.

Pankhuri got out of the bed with a lot of pain in her body, she flinched keeping her foot on the floor. Shrugging the pain away, she walked up to the light switchboard and turned on the lights to look around carefully.

The first thing she looked at was the wall clock as soon as the room lit up.

'10:25 AM' it showed. Pankhuri sighed and came out of the room while massaging her nape. She looked around the house but it was the only silence that could be heard around.

'He left...thank god' Pankhuri thought to herself, turned around, and went inside the room back. She just didn't feel like doing anything, wish he never came into her life.

How drastically everything changed, a year back if somebody had told her that she will have to go through all this she would have laughed her head off.

But now this was her reality. It was not even a month since she had gotten married to him and she has to go through all this.

Walking back to bed, she felt something beneath her foot near it. She frowned and bent down to pick see what poked her.

Looking at the thing on the floor, filled her eyes with fresh tears. She gulped hard and picked up the broken piece of the locket which was given by her Grandmother on the day of her result.

She clutched it to her cheat and sniffled as a tear fell from her eyes.

Pankhuri leaned on the cushioned backrest of the bed and clutched the broken locket and her knees to the chest. Resting her head on the knees she lost herself to the racing thoughts.

Wish he never came into her life. It would have been so better, not perfect but at least better. She had everything she had her best friends by her side, a loving grandmother and brother.

Her slowly getting a better relationship with her parents. But it all got wrecked, when he entered.

She didn't even know who he was until he left her life upside down. Her father worked under Dewan's even before she was born.

For her whole childhood, she had listened to their names, whenever Binay came to the village but not for even once she had thought, her life would be changed by one of those names.

Pankhuri controlled herself as something came into her head.

'I can't live like this...I need to leave...'

Pankhuri spoke to herself before jumping out of the bed and running towards the walk-in closet.

Pankhuri took the brown duffle bag and started to stuff a few of her clothes in it. She rapidly changed her clothes into a pair of jeans and a top.

She abruptly turned around towards the door and ran outside with the bag.

Pankhuri pulled the main door of the house to open it, but it didn't open. Her heart raced thinking it might be locked, she gulped and tried opening it again but failed.

For another few more times, she tried with all the strength she had but failed. She released a deep sign of dissatisfaction.

She looked at the time. 'There is still a lot of time' and she ran towards the drawers in the living room, for an extra key.

Chintan sat leaning completely on the brown leather chair. Keeping his eyes closed he thought of important things, the important things that were not connected to his personal life.
