Chapter 17: Follow the leader

So I went back to chapter 15 fixing the Karai thing. I'll clear it up here again. She thought the device she was given was for mind control(still bad Ik)not a literal shock collar.

"We've been looking for mutagen for days now, dudes. This is so boring. I'm gonna scream." Mikey swooped down the billboard ladder and dangled his legs from it upside down, opening his mouth wide. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"Mikey!" everyone shushed him.

"Okay, okay, we get it. We'll take a little break and do something fun. Cool?" Leo suggested, earning a cheer from the others.

Leo smiled and pointed his finger upwards. "Training session. Yes!" You and the brothers whined. "Guys, sensei wants me to train you, and that's what I'm gonna do." He turned then pointed somewhere. "You see Dragon gate over there?"

"Yeah." The team responded.

"I'm gonna defend it, like king of the mountain, okay? Now, the only way you can get past me is to use traditional close-quarters fighting. Got it?"

"Whatever you say, fearless leader." Raph responds. "Let's just get it over with."

"(Y/n), you can sit this one out. You don't need practice on this, you need to learn how to draw a sword faster, Iaijitsu." he gestured to the ring blades hitched on both your hips. It was a new weapon you've been testing. Two circular blades with a chain on them, don't need to be drawn like swords, hence why your not doing this training.

"K, I'll go get some take out for Kaneko then. Want anything?"

"Nah."

You hopped off the roof, hiding the weapons in an alley. You headed straight for the Chinese restaurant place and saw Leo get to the gate by crossing over the wires connecting the rooftop to the gate. He stuck one of his swords into the gate, making it the finish line while wielding the other. You went inside and ordered the food, unaware of Raph's little plan.

Mikey went first. Balancing on the wire, placing his earbuds in his ears, blasting the music. "What's up, ninja?" he starts dancing to the music.

"What are you doing, Mikey?" Leo asks. Mikey continues dancing as Leo tried to fight his brother. Mikey uses the wires to his advantage causing Leo to tilt and miss his strikes.

"Real funny. Come on." Leo charges him, but Mikey jumps back onto the wire again causing Leo to adjust his balance, giving Mikey the time he needed to jump over Leo entirely, making it to the other side. "Made it. Ha! Whoo!"

Donnie was next, as he balanced himself on the wires he took shurikens. Donnie then mathematically calculates the spots to strike his brother. He throws them and Leo resorts to defense, blocking off each Shuriken, using a crazy amount of energy. Donnie uses Leo's tiredness and joins Mikey on the other side." King of the mountain, baby! Ha!"

Mikey gives him a high-three "That's my ninja!"

The leader in blue promptly asks Raph, "So what's your trick gonna be?"

Raph jumps onto the wire." Tricks? What are you guys talking about?" he throws one of his sais, the leader defends it.

"Hey. Ninjas never throw their weapons." he grew more irritated. Raph runs to Leo knocking him off the wires, causing Leo to fall to the ground. His other blade fell next to him the words, Lame-O-nardo written on it He gets to his feet and glares at his cheering brothers. "Why do you always undermine my training??" He was angry now.

"You just want us to fight exactly like you fight, but the whole point is to make it to the Dragon gate any way we can, right?" Raph responds. All except Leo leave. He looks to his sword, becoming upset that his brothers don't listen to him.
