The rumbling stomach of Kami woke you up. You got up from the cushioned couch and left to the kitchen to find him some food. It's the 5th day since you've started living here, yet you need to find essentials before it's an actual move in. Clothes, weapons, laptop, Ice cream, and most importantly Kami's food. He's been living of off pizza and the leftovers but he needed more food. The clan told you they'd be sending the food monthly for the dog, but the address can't be changed. You sighed, finding a leftover pizza on the table and handing it to Kamis mouth. He was a big animal who required a large amount of food to function, kinda like Mikey.
"I'll get your food today boy" you checked your phone to check the time. It was 4am, you woke up way too early again. Maybe because you can't see sunlight under the sewers, so you've been adjusting when to be awake with the turtles. You haven't went on patrol with them yet, mainly because when you performed a harsh landing in training you started limping again. A soft whine left the wolf rubbing his head on your leg, almost cat like.
"Leo did say sun rise, we can make it back before then" you remembered Splinters warning.
"It's not safe for you to go alone when the Shredder knows your are associated with us." You thought back to it. But no one was awake at this time to stop you, and Kami was getting more hungry. You headed for the tunnels stealthily with Kami leading.
"Where are you going?" You stopped in you tracks, recognizing the voice. 'Some stealth I have'
"Good morning Leo" you smiled to him.
His eyes narrowed wanting an answer from you.
"I need to get some clothes and Kami's food from my place, he's hungry" you reasoned.
"Alone?" He tried not to sound harsh, he was concerned what would happen if the foot caught you being alone.
"I'll have Kami with me"
He sighed, "Do you even know the way out?" He looked at you and Kami. You remained silent.
"I'll take that as a no" you nodded with your head down.
"I'll come with you, but we need to be back before the sun rises."
"Thank you" you whisper shouted. He led you through the tunnels after you told him the address, not far from Murakami's. You hopped the roofs getting to your porch and sliding it open. Leo sat on the balcony rail observing the interior home.
"You can come in, there are no traps" you said from the kitchen, quickly taking out the Ice cream and a spoon.
"I thought you wanted to get clothes?" He chuckled seeing you enjoy the ice cream. You held the spoon in your mouth, grabbing a spoon from the drawer for Leo.
"Try it" you handed the spoon sliding the ice cream to him on the table. While you went back to the freezer to get some of the frozen food for Kami and the dry food from the box you left out. You looked back to see Leo silently eating taking spoon fulls of the ice cream, a smile flashing his face as he did so.
"Oooww" he hissed rubbing his head.
"Brain freeze?"
"Yeah" He flinched looking back, flustered by you seeing the whole thing.
