Hehhehe I lied about sleeping tonight!
"Cmon (y/n) I know you can do better!" Leo retorted as you practiced with a new weapon. A black nichirin. Swords felt better in the palm of your hands, and it was most satisfying when they cut down enemies like butter. You sheathed the blade back at your hip. "Again." He said for 50th time. He stood in front of you, hand ready near his swords. "Now!" You both unsheathed the swords, clashing blades with one another but he did it faster, swiping the blade at your side making you stumble back.
"Ahh! I'm never gonna get this Leo!" You stood back up rubbing your bum from falling yet again.
"You have to learn to draw the sword so fast, that even if your opponent is first or launch an attack, you can still be the first to strike." You nodded taking in his words.
"Leo I think (y/n) needs a break." Donnie chirped in while he was sparring with Raph.
"Hey! Don't get distracted by Splinter Jr!" Raph slammed into him making him also fall.
"Ugh! Really Raph!" Donnie groaned from the ground.
You chuckled pulling Donnie back up. "I am pretty hungry Leo." You gave him pleading eyes.
He sighed giving in to you. "Fine, today's lesson is over."
As you walked into the main living room with Leo, Donnie, and Raph, odd voices came from the TV. Blocky voices, with sucky voice actors.
"Oh, no! Super bad times for all!" A female voice yelled in fear.
"Does great danger arrive? Where?" A more commanding voice spoke up, possibly a leader.
"Kill-beast-bots from planet seven Are here with steely resolve! Captain Coolstar, what are we going to do?" The person freaking out in green, got smacked. "ow!"
"Get a hold of yourself, man!" The blue character shouted.
Then a monkey in yellow started squeaking on top of a red character shoulder. "Don't worry, squeakums. We'll blast 'em with mighty super robo mecha!"
"Team! Combine in teamwork mode!" You cringed at the leader choice of words. 'Power of friendship trope?'
All of them shouted together. "Super! Robo! Mecha! Force! Five! Team! Five! Go!" The character got sent into what you'd call a transformer.
"What the heck is this nonsense? It's terrible!" Raph spoke his opinion openly about the show.
"Terribly awesome!" Mikey corrected him. "I found these old tapes in a dumpster."
"Tapes?" you asked.
"Check it out." peering into the crate he brought over to you made a horrifying smell go up your nose, you pinched it.
Leo was watching the show and undoubtedly hated it because it was an anime knock-off of his favorite show. "Dude, this is awful." he smiled proudly. "And you guys complained about space heroes."
"It's dub anime, what do you expect?" you told them but saw Kaneko sit in front of the TV. Intrigued, you went to sit next to her completely forgetting about lunch . (not all dub is bad, I respect that.)
"Their lips don't even match what they're saying! I could never watch a show this bad!" Raph yelled with arms up. The show continued and seconds later everyone was around the TV watching for the next hour or so.
"There are too many of them, captain!" The pink female character shrilled.
"So she's the princess of an entire planet?" Raphs astonishment turned into a childlike smile "Cool!"
