"Hey mom." you slip in through the window with Leonardo behind you.
"Hello love." she gestures for you to hug her. "Have you eaten? I have some food if you haven't had dinner yet."
"It's ok mom Iv eaten plenty before coming here." you take a glance at the flowers on her bedside table, they were already wilting and drying.
She nods. "What brings you here tonight?" She notices a different air between the two of you. She gasps. "Oh my congratulations!" she claps her hands lightly. 'Are we that easy to read?'
"How did you know ma'am?" Leo asks. She snaps her head to him, "I mean (M/n)." he corrects.
"I know my daughter, she can't hide anything from me but Leo is better at being stoic about it. What gave it away though, was how warmly you were gazing at her and not being nervous about it." she smiles when the two of you blush looking to the floor. "So why did you really come?"
You look back to Leo. "Well...." You tell her the whole situation and what happened. She was in shock for a few minutes she knew about non human beings but aliens from space and other dimensions? It wasn't impossible though and she didn't doubt you. "Mom, it'd really help if we take you back to the lair where it's safe."
"I cant sweetheart, I'm still attached to these devices and monitors, my immune system would plummet without the medical equipment."
"My brother Donnie can come up with something."
"Thank you dear, but I dont want to bother your family any more than I should," she says sternly halting you from saying anything else. There was something strange about how she was talking like she was physically next to you but her mind was elsewhere. "I'm sure everything will turn out fine for you, dont worry about an old woman like me."
"Mom, your not old." you've been trying to tell her the past years but she complained when the smallest wrinkle on the face appeared.
"I'm happy you trust us that much (M/n)." Leo smiles. She can see the love in his eyes directed towards you, it made her feel like her daughter was in good hands with Yoshi's family.
Your mother smiles. She soon shoos the both of you. "...I love you (y/n)," she says as you were halfway through the window.
"I love you too mom. I'll see you later, bring you back something too." you leave the window.
"Leonardo." she halts the blue masked turtles before he left the window. "A word." He nods hesitantly but approaches her. "Take care of my daughter, she is still only a teen, a young adult that has a long life ahead of her. Remind her that she is loved, talk to her when she is cornered by her own emotions, embrace her when her soul is cold...."
"I'm not sure what you mean-"

Your mother smiled at his positive and ensuring words. She places a hand on his cheek letting him rise from the bowing and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. "Thank you....now go on. Get some rest before the sun rises."
