The mansion felt way bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. It was three stories high and had a huge pool with a hot tub. Camila led me to my room while Alex took Kai to his room which was next to mine. "Whoa," was the first thing I said when we came into my room. My room was HUGE! Bigger than the lobby in the orphanage! The walls were painted black and there was a huge black canopy bed. I had a candy room in my room that had a huge gumball machine and A LOT of candy. The table was black with a little statue of a wolf. I had a balcony with a couch and a etable on it. My bathroom had a hot tub and a regular tub that was super big. And my closet had regular, black clothes, just how I like it. There was a basketball hoop in my room and a gymnastics mat. There was a lot more stuff, but it was too much to tell you. This was like my dream room!
"How did you do this?" I asked is awe
"Well, we actually decided to adopt you and Kai a week ago, but wanted you to like your rooms, so we asked Ms. Layla what you guys liked and added it," Camila said.
"Well, thanks so much!" I wanted to hug her, but I didn't want to go to that stage yet.
I went to play outside and started humming. Birds came and landed on me. I giggled. There was so much nature here!
"You really have a way with animals," a voice said. I whipped around to see Zack
"Yeah, I do," I respond
"I didn't know you were now living with the Carsons," he said
"Well, for your information, I just moved in this morning," I say
Zack smirked and said goodbye as I continued playing with the animals and Shadow. I went inside and immediately got lost. What? Don't blame me. This house is big! I stumbled across the library. It was as big as a real library! Kenzi would've loved it. I kept on walking. I walked past the gym, the movie theater, and the arcade. Finally, I stumbled across a maid.
"Hello dear, I am Catherine. What can I help you with?" she asked
"Umm... where is my room?"
"Up the stairs or elevator to the third floor and turn to the left and the first door is yours," Catherine told me
"Thanks"
I go up the elevator, go left, and arrive at my room. I decided I wanted to unpack. I took out all my stuff like my iphones, macbooks, ipads, headphones, pictures, etc. I had four pictures. One with my family and I, one with Kenzi and I in our onesies, One with Mark, Nathan, and I, and one with Shadow and I. I stare at the photo of me and Kenzi. I miss her so much and it has only been a day. Will I ever see her again? Does she still remember me? Questions swirl around my head as I lay on my canopy bed and fall asleep. When I woke up, Mark and Kai were peering over me again.
"Uhhhhh... hi? Again?" I say, "You sure come over often when I fall asleep," I say teasingly
Mark blushed. Kai smirked. We went outside and Mark told us his house was the one next door. I already knew that since I go to his house often, so he was just telling Kai. Mark's family was pretty rich, but not as rich as the Carsons I guess. I layed down on the grass and stared at the clouds. Kai and Mark did the same thing and layed on either side of me. I smiled. We named what we thought the clouds looked like. A dog, a pig, a sheep, a llama, and more. My new home was amazing. It had butlers, maids, housekeepers, chauffeurs, and others, but... it just doesn't feel the same without Kenzi and the orphanage. You know why? Because I spent more than half my life there with Kenzi.
"Hey Kai," Mark asked, "Now that you are better, are you going to school?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, I am!" Kai said excitedly
"Don't get too excited, school is B-O-R-I-N-G," I say, spelling out boring.
Kai laughed and we continued staring at the clouds until Mark had to go and one of the maids called us in for dinner.
