You may be wondering. Why is Luna on the field after school? Well, it all started like this:
It was the day before summer break when...
"Hey, Luna?" Mark asked
"Yeah?"
"Please don't let what I am about to say next ruin our relationship"
"Uhhhh sure?""I don't think I am ready for a relationship. We are only in middle school. Could we date in... high school?"
"Sure, I fine with that"
"Sorry," Mark mumbled
"Don't be sorry. I get it, we are still young"
"Really? Thanks so much for understanding!"
I hug him and we go to our next class. P.E. was fun, but I couldn't stop thinking about Mark though. Did I ruin our friendship? I wanted to call Kenzi, but I couldn't. Not even with the new iPhone 13 Camila and Alex gave me last week. Nothing worked. Absolutely nothing. Kenzi would know what to do. Mark must have noticed so he gave me a note that said to meet him in the field after school.
So here I am, at the field after school. Mark came and I looked down, my hands in my pocket.
"Hey," He says
"Hey," I say back.
Umm, awkward
"So umm... will it be like this from now on?"
"Maybe," I whisper
"Please don't let this ruin us, okay?"
"...Okay," I hug him, but it isn't the awkward kind. It is the one that is like, just friends kind of one.
As I go back home, I see Zack and Trixie hugging, and then Trixie comes to me.
"Zack told you that he just wanted to be friends?" I asked
She nodded, "What about you?"
"Same," then I got an idea, "Do you want to have a girl's night? No boys?"
"Sure!"
"My house at... 6:30?"
"Okay," She waves goodbye and we go our own ways back home.
