"Hi!," I say, sitting down next to Kayla at lunch.
"So I was like, OMG really?" she says, then turns to me, "Hi!"
"Were you talking to me?" I ask
"What? Oh, no," she says, "I was talking to Lynn."
"Who?" I ask
"Lynn-oh, you don't know her?" she asks
I shake my head
"Kenzi," Kayla says, pointing, "Meet Lynn, Lee, Melody and Kezer. Lynn, Lee, Melody, and Kezer, meet Kenzi.
"Hi," They all say
"Hi," I say
"You didn't know them because last time, they were at a science meet." Kayla explains, she flips her hair, "Science isn't really my thing."
Lee looks alot like Liam. Same blonde hair, same heart shaped head. But instead of green eyes, Lee has blue eyes.
"So that's the girl you were talking about?" Melody asks
"Yup," Kayla says proudly
Everyone swirls around me. They're all telling compliments about me like "Wow. I love your hair!" and "Your eyes are so pretty!"
I stare at them in surprise. "Thanks!" I say
Then Liam came over. Oh brother.
"Kenzi! Wanna sit with us?" he asks
"Umm," I look over at my friends, Kayla looks a little sad, I bet she thinks I'll say yes, "Can I sit with my friends actually?" I ask
Liam looks almost calm, "sure," he says
When he goes back to his table, I hear one of his friends whisper to him, "Nerds Group."
He didn't say anything, but when he thought I wasn't looking, he nods.
At first I felt hurt. Then I thought it over. I'm a nerd, and I'm proud of it.
