At the shelter, which is called: Animal Heaven, I am immediately blown away. They have animals and pets of all kinds. I squeal and run around talking and looking at all the animals. Mark rolled his eyes laughing and came to play with the animals with me. Soon, Kai, Josh, and John. I came across the bunny aisle and spotted one that had red eyes and tan-colored fur. She looked just like Carrots. Tears formed in my eyes as Mark put an arm around me. The world was blurry. I fell to the floor and blacked out.
When I wake up, I am in a bed in a... hospital? I really dunno since everything is still blurry. A figure comes up to me and sees my eyes open. He hugs me.
"Mark! Camila! Alex! Josh! John! Come quick! Luna's awake!" I think it was... Kai's voice?
"Kai?" I rasped out. My vision is better now. Mark and the others come in and hug me.
"How long have I been out?" I asked
Everyone looked away, "Two days," Mark finally whispered
"That bad?" I asked, trying to break the tension in the air and trying to crack a smile
They all just nodded
"Well, you must be hungry. I bought you some pancakes our chef made," Alex said
I nod and gratefully took the pancakes. They were so good! I wish Kenzi was here to try it. My stomach lurched as I thought of all the times we went to a pancake shop. After I eat, I fall into a dreamless sleep. I wake up to the sounds of birds chirping, though I can hardly hear it. My eyes sting, my whole body hurts, I am so, so dizzy and I feel terrible. Breakfast is on my table, but I can't reach it. I try, believe me, I just can't.
"Someone!" I call
"Yes?" A voice from the door said. It was Camila
"I can't reach my food, can you please hand it to me?" She does and I thank her. Today it was waffles with fruits. Camila gives me a hug as I try to sit up. Pain shoots up my body as I groan.
"Dr. Hannah!" Camila calls
A woman came in and I am guessing she was Dr. Hannah.
"Yes?"
"Luna is groaning and I think she is in pain. Do you have anything to help her?"
"Of course," she replies and go gets my medicine or whatever
She comes back with a pill and I take it. That night, I couldn't fall asleep. Mark comes in even though it is already midnight. He sits next to me and wraps an arm around me. I blush bright red and smile. I fall asleep dreaming about Kenzi coming back from Australia.
