Thump, oh great. My crutches fell out of my grip. I bend my hip, trying to get the crutches, but I couldn't reach them. Dang. When I tried to pick it up, I ended up letting it flip.
"Do you need some help?" someone asks
I look up, and see a guy, with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes.
"Uhh, actually, that would be wonderful," I say, batting my eyelashes
He picks up my crutches and hands them to me. "Careful," he says
"Thanks so much!" I say
He nods then lifts his head and says, "Hi, I'm Jax."
"I'm-uhh-I'm Luna." I sputter
"'Sup Luna, wanna walk together?" He puts his hands on my shoulders
Ok, so I know I agreed with Mark when he said we were too young to date, but c'mon! Look at this guy! He's, well, he's like the most popular guy in school.
He and I just walked down the hall together. I couldn't help but always look at him. Seriously, he's as mesmerizing as fire. Maybe not as cute as Mark, but still. Look at him!
When I came to my homeroom, Jax helped me into my seat and waved goodbye. Mark stares at me. He looks a little sad. Oops. I smile awkwardly and wave. He waves too but then turns away. I drifted away before class even started. At lunch, I head over to the table Mark, Zack, Trixie, Rachel, and Lucas are already at, but Jax asked me to sit with him and his friends, so I agreed. My friends looked rather hurt. I guess I'll have to explain everything. Later.
I saw Mark whisper something to Zack, then to Trixie then to Rachel then to Lucas. Then, Trixie and Rachel start making kissing faces. I scowl at them. I walk up to them and whisper in their ears. "Bye forever," I say sharply. I walk back and smile at Jax. I look back to see Trixie glaring and Rachel looking down. I really didn't care. I had new friends. Ones who actually cared.
