I sit up in bed. It's still really dizzy around me. Everything that had happened rushed back to me. I shudder, seeing all those ambulances coming up was no picnic. Speaking of which, I'm hungry, really hungry. I think it's because I've thrown up all the stuff I ate yesterday.
Then, a woman in a white dress and a mask and a white cap came in.
"Hungry Kenzi?" she asks.
"Definitely, thank you," I say
"Sondra and Blake will come as soon as they get everything ready," The nurse goes on, "I'm Nurse Cathy."
"Hi Cathy," I say, as I slirp down my oatmeal, this isn't as good as Johnson's breakfast but it'll do for now.
"I-" the nurse begins, but she got interrupted by Sondra
"Oh! There's Kenzi!" then she runs toward me wrapping me in a hug.
The nurse looks worried, "Please Sondra, Kenzi needs to rest, and we're doing a test and we need to make sure no germs spread, use the hand sanitizer before you touch a patient, it's for safety." she adds as Sondra glares at her.
Blake also comes in, "Kenzi, how are you feeling?" He asks.
"Umm, not very good," I say, "My throat hurts and I'm really dizzy."
Then, Zendaya comes in, wearing her ballet tutu and those pointe shoes. She's carrying a bouquet of flowers. She walks toward my bed and hands them to me.
I sniff, ah. Fresh flowers can make a person's day.
"They're roses," Zendaya says, "I went to this bouquet shop and they had a ton of flowers! But because the roses look the prettiest, I chose them over the others."
"You have great sense," I say laughing. Zendaya laughs too.
"Well, I have to go," Zendaya says, "Madame Ramsey wouldn't be happy seeing me late again after break. Bye!" She waves goodbye and heads out the door.
"Oh, darn," Blake says walking back to the room, "My boss just called, he needs me in his office pronto. I'm sorry, but I have to go." He too waves goodbye and heads out the door.
"Well, looks like it's just us," Sondra says, "Why don't you take a nap? I'll put these flowers in a vase for you,"
"Thank you," I say, (At least I think I said it, I suddenly became really tired), then, I conked out.
